Purchased a used mower. Adam was great to deal with and the two other guys were friendly and helpful also.

So glad we were able to work with The Small Engine Co. They took our old snow blower and gave a full report of what was needed to repair and an honest opinion about its worth. In the end we were able to purchase a new machine and had delivered the next day, prior to a big storm!

I called The Small Engine Co. this morning to ask about service on my snowblower and if I could schedule an appointment. The person that answered the call was very unprofessional and said "wait in line like everybody else" when I asked how long the wait in line would be he said about a month. Its ok to be busy but its not ok to be rude to customers, they just lost my business...I'll wait 2 months at there competition if needed.

The young man on the counter is a rude, know it all, person who should NOT be serving the public. He has obviously not been trained and does not have the temperament to deal with people who just want to ask questions and pick up a few parts. Why would management allow this to go on? Never and I mean never again!

I recently purchased a Wright stand on mower from Adam at Small Engine, and had a great experience. After talking with Adam and letting him know what I was looking for, he showed me all my options and explained to me the differences and pros and cons between each mower. Adam is extremely knowledgeable about not only each brand and each product that he carries, but he is knowledgeable about brands that he does not carry. The staff behind the counter is knowledgeable and personable and very professional. I will recommend Small Engine Company to anyone looking for a new or used equipment in the future.

Brought my snowblower in for 2 flat tires (rounded screw prevented me from removing and only bringing the tires) but agreed to some maintenance. When I called to see if my snowblower was ready, I was told the tires were being tested overnight under pressure to determine if they would hold. Picked up snowblower and upon using for the first time last week, both tires went flat within 5 mins. of use. Called and was told the tires were never removed from the snowblower, but repaired, and that if I wanted the snowblower picked up, it would cost me $80.00. I reminded him that the reason I brought the entire snowblower(not just the tires) initially was because a wheel bolt was rounded, and the tires were flat. I offered to pay 1/2 the pickup cost but was told that was not acceptable. I have the same problem I began with before I brought it in. NEVER will recommend this business to friends or associates at UVMMC or to anyone reading this review.

Terrible experience. Told me the head gasket was blown and my compression was low, told me to buy a new snowblower. I take it home, the compression is fine, pull the head off and the head gasket is fine, too. Still got to pay $40 for a diagnostic fee that told me nothing! I call back looking for help and I get the generic "check the valves and the coil" advice. Why did I pay a diagnostic fee if you didn't do that? Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

I have been dealing with Adam for years, Every time I go in there he takes great care of me. From making Chains for my chainsaws to buying new equipment. He takes the time to explain the machines pro's and con's if there are any. Gives me advise and feed back that has not failed me yet. Only small engine place I will deal with. Great customer service and someone who actually cares about the business and Customers. Thanks Adam!

I love these guys! They are right on time with me and know ther stuff. The saw I bought was explained well, and they took their time with us. I also bought a mower and weed Wacker off them and have not had any problems with the equipment. I would highly recommend this place to any one. Also, they are very personable and if you ever get the chance ask about the dinosaur computer they still use in the main room, it's a museum piece!

I just purchased a new mower from Adam and was very impressed with his breadth and depth of knowledge, not just about the brands that he carries, but about their competition as well. I definitely got the impression that he wasn't just giving me salesmanship but is genuinely interested in the industry and the machinery. They also were more than happy to let me take the mower out on their lawn for a test drive, and even offered to bring it to my house for a demonstration. The only detractor for me is their shop is definitely on the small side and a little rough around the edges.
