DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM ! THEY ARE LIARS and SELL WHAT THEY DO NOT HAVE! Bought a sofa end of June, they said delivery would be beg September, in September they said October, and now in October they are saying November. Its been about be 6 months for a sofa, they lie and give you a fake delivery date just for you to place an order. They NEVER send an update, you have to call and call again, and even then customer service do not have any proper or clear information. No one seems to know exact status of the delivery. They have transferred me 3 times to different departments , including the delivery company use and no one knows anything. Reading other reviews this appears to be a trend. I would not trust them.

Carly was very helpful today. She ensured we had the right color for all of our items. She was very friendly and came to ask if we needed assistance right away. She also pointed out some really great clearance items that matched my design style! Very nice experience. We love the mid century modern style and all of our furniture we have has lasted well. Love our clearance rug! Such a great price.

If I could give this a negative star, I would. I spent 2 hours picking out the perfect sofa and spent $6000. Then the delivery company completely messed up the shipping. To make things worse, the sofa finally arrived only for me to realize that the sales associate at the store ordered the wrong one. I had to place a new order and spent another $4000 and wait again. Now I come to find out that that they cancelled another order my accident and I have to order that again too. There is no accountability at this store or on a corporate level. How many mistakes can one company make? Simply awful. Do not buy anything from here.

I have done a lot of comparison shopping for home goods after a recent, significant move. I have concluded that West Elm is one of the best retailers for high quality, luxury home goods at accessible price points. Let's talk linen bedding for example. At first, I couldn't imagine paying 300 dollars for a duvet or sheet set. Then I started comparing West Elm linen bedding prices with linen bedding offerings elsewhere, and I found that the prices at West Elm were reasonable, and besides, the quality of the linen is remarkable - soft, not scratchy, cooling - everything you want without any break-in time. Can you find sheets elsewhere for a tenth of the price? Yes. Can you find linen sheets of the same quality for cheaper? Very unlikely. So far, I have bought linen bedding, my current bed, a couple throw blankets, some candle holders, and a few kitchen jars from West Elm. I highly recommend finding a store close to you to see the quality of their items for yourself. Then you can always go back and order online in your preferred colors/styles.

Husband and I stopped in. We had just moved to area and looking for furniture to fit our downsized townhouse. The only person in the store working was a young man, tall, thin with blonde hair and was standing behind register area. We were only people in the store (Monday morning) He asked what we were looking for, and we said sofa-sleepers and end tables. He rolled his eyes. He never stepped out behind the register area-just said that most of their sofas came as sleepers also. No help, no questions or explanations-no showing options or fabrics to look at. We did find several tables we were interested in-but still didn’t get any interest in helping us. You would think taking a measuring tape out and measuring tables would elicit some interest and help, but not here. If we do buy them-it won’t be from this store. Maybe because we are older, and not fitting the usual West Elm demographic, we were ignored. But my money is as good as anyone else’s. I will never set foot in this store again.

Awful! They told me a price for a chair on sale, Philip and Liz (managers) change their mind a the cash register, they didn’t honored the price at the end of the purchase. I like the brand but I will buying in another store. The store service not a high end store. It sucks!

Staff is really helpful and kind until something goes wrong with your order, twice. Then it suddenly becomes really difficult to get in touch with employees from the store despite spending almost $2000 for a coffee table, rug, and a couple end tables. Be warned before purchasing from this store.

I was in this store for a good amount of time and no one bothered to greet me I finally asked for a help and one of the lady ask the other one to help me. She makes it clear that she doesn't want me in that store. She was forcing herself to answer my questions. I have had bad customer service experience before but this one is more like a hate. One of the most disturbing experience I had. I also feel sorry for her to have this much hate for someone she never seen before.

It shocks me to see the negative customer service reviews. I have been in the store 5 times in the last 3 months and every time I have been greeted by a sales associate, each time a different person, and was readily assisted with my purchase. Phillip was amazing in placing a few online orders and all my items were nicely wrapped and bagged when I arrived. I plan on moving to San Diego, as I just sold my home, and plan to furnish my new home with the assistance of the staff at the Alexandria store placing online orders for me. Every staff member I have dealt with has been super friendly and helpful. I can not say enough good things about this store.

I recently went into the store to return a wedding gift and Liz was the associate who helped us. She was helpful and even told us about how to use “send sales”. You can understand why it was disappointing and frustrating coming back into the store 2 days later to upgrade a purchase when Liz didn’t even greet us or speak a word to us while processing our return. She then handed us a paper without letting us know our return would not be refunded to our original form, rather it would go directly to store credit. In the end, Mary from customer service was able to help us fix the situation.
