The transmission of our truck broke on our vacation. By the grace of God we found this business. The team went above and beyond to fix our truck and have us on our way within a week. The work has proved to be top notch. The customer service was beyond compare. Typically a job like ours would take much longer but Shawn understood that being stranded out of state with all of our kids was not a great situation and worked past opening hours on the day the transmission came in so we could be on our way. He even had one of his team members tow our camper to the shop so we could be on our way faster. I cannot say enough about the great quality of service and custom care that we received.

He is easy to work with and extremely competent in diagnosis and repair of diesel and gasoline engines. Shawn the owner of Hometown has been in the auto repair business since a kid. He loves what he does and helping people! You never met a nicer guy. QUALITY and EXPERTISE! So hard to find in this area. Hometown Auto is an excellent shop, highly recommend. I live in Reston and go to local places for oil changes, state safety inspections, etc. Whenever there is a recommendation for work from the local guys, I take it over to Hometown to #1 see if the work *actually* needs to be done and #2 to get it done correctly at a good price. With some mechanics you sometimes think you are being "taken", never once has that thought crossed my mind when working with Hometown Auto.
