Care-A-Lot is the best place in Hampton Roads to get pet supplies. We go here all the time to get things for our dogs and cats. The pet food at other stores seems to run a couple dollars over what Care-A-Lot charges. There are so many options and they have affordable prices. Care-A-Lot also has a plethora of small animal, fish, and reptile options that other stores don't.

First of all I'm super sad to hear that you all are getting rid of your fish section. But Patrick 🙌🏽 he is amazing, patient informative, helpful. He really goes above and beyond. We have been making trips to this store to see Patrick and he is nothing short of amazing. His expertise in salt water has helped us tremendously in starting our salt water tank. Big thank you to Patrick and I really hope he gets some type of reward from this ❤️

Absolutely loved this place!! We took our new fur baby for his first round of puppy shots!!! The system is very ingenious...limited hours for this particular service(shots)!! The store is vast, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable...will DEFINITELY be frequenting this place for Lux(our puppy)!!😁👍🏾

Very well stocked. The fish tanks look terrible. The store looks great until you see the fish. Paid $17.80 for a bag of puppy food then found it for $10.79 at a grocery store, exact same bag two days later. Definitely check prices. They do have anything you could ever need for a dog or cat. Vet clinic on Saturdays is a great service for the community.

Lots of love to Care-a-lot. I only needed one visit to know that I wouldn't go back to any other pet store if I could help it. I would encourage anyone thinking about going here to give it a try and see if you feel the same.

Selection for cats is so small compared to dogs, and things are kinda scattered. But good quality products is what keeps me returning. Staff wasn’t really professional at all as they were having personal conversations, which is fine when I’m not standing there waiting for one of them to help me and they look at me and carry on their conversation.

I would rate them a 5 if their prices weren't so darn expensive. The staff has always been helpful to me. Great customer service. They offer a wide variety of brands for cats & dogs.

The Oyster Point location looks great but has horrible customer service. Basic and general questions are met with rude answers from both manager and staff. If you are new to the area ( or new to pet ownership) and actually have questions I strongly recommend you stay away from this location. However, if you are running in and out and have no need for actual employee assistance, this store has a wide variety of services. ( just don't expect any employees to try to assist you ) 😒

Our new addition. Got kitten milk and collar. I love this place they have everything for any kind of animals. And since my fiancé cuts down trees, I pretty live there during this time of year. Taking care of baby squirrels.
