If I could rate this location and it’s STORE manager a 0- I would. Loyal Kay customer for 15+ years and have never had the experience I had today with any Kay Jewelers.

John is of the most absolute knowledgeable, funny, caring and humble person that I’ve encountered in a Kay’s store. He observed the kind of jewelry that I already wear and made his recommendations from there. It was a really enjoyable experience and if it wasn’t for this pandemic I would hug him. He is the kind of person that everyone needs a chance to meet, you can tell he loves interacting and helping people. I would recommend him to anyone.

I find the service given to me at Kay Jewelers not only in Suffolk Virginia but in the Shallotte N.C. branch to be outstanding. The consultants are always willing to assist you with both your needs and wants. I like the fact that they take the time to listen to you and tailor your jewelry choices with the occasion. Getting your money is not their focus but you the "Customer " is. Their number one priority is "Creating a satisfied customer, one that will comeback and refer others as well. The service is always courteous, professional and knowledgeable. I am always satisfied when I visit these sites. It's like returning home.

First let me say my experience started out positive. I liked going to the store because of the customer service. However, I know with the pandemic & everything else going on in the world that has made some changes to everyone & everything. It’s almost like day/night difference in customer service since after I got married in August. So when I had asked for my rings to be fused together I told them how I wanted it done the first time when I sent it off. No problem. I get it back & the manager called me stating she wasn’t happy with how it looked. I came in after work to look at it & concluded I needed it redone. It was absolutely horrid. While I was working with the lady to have my ring sent back off, she had a whole attitude while helping me. I told her about 20 times how I wanted it done. I was open to other options. However, after looking into those options I concluded I still liked how I wanted my rings to be fused together. The lady that was helping me had rolled her eyes at least 5 times with me while helping me. I also had talked with the manager that had called me up earlier that day. I felt like she could’ve been helping me beings that she got in contact with me instead of sitting & doing nothing. I walked out of the store feeling like that was probably the worst customer service ever. So fast forward 3 WEEKS! I called asking about the status of my ring & the manager said oh I’ve been meaning to ask how you wanted it done. Dude. It’s been 3 weeks. It should’ve been less time than that. Granted yes the holidays are around the corner but no phone call from the store. I told them exactly how I wanted it done when I left the store the last time. Also she would’ve known had she been directly working with me. Later that night, she had sent my husband a picture of the ring doing it her way asking if that’s was fine. I gave her my name & contact info when I left the store... what happened?! Then she called him asking for my phone number & she sent the picture to me. I told her again... THIS IS NOT WHAT I WANTED! The next day finally they got it right. When my ring was finally ready they called my husband AGAIN! why didn’t they call me? I left my number with them & it should’ve been in their system. Overall, they do what they want to do with your jewelry that you pay for. 🤷🏻♀️

Maybe update your damn hours on google before you make people drive 35 minutes out of their way after a 12 hour shift for nothing!

1st visit and was greeted even though its the holiday season and it was very busy inside. Walked around gazing at all the shiny bobbles. There are plenty of helpful jewelry associates on the floor to comply with your needs. Winded up buying #3 things. And ample inventory to meet your needs and wants for that something special gift. Overall a great experience. **Every Kay's jewelers has different stock inventory in the floor display cases.** However, on a second visit to go back to purchase a piece; I had seen on the previous visit, for my mom for Christmas. I walked in, it wasn't busy at all, looking for that specific piece. Was asked if I needed assistance and I said, "yes". So this seasoned sales associate assisted me. I walked around the whole store searching for that piece. It seemed, from her sarcastic exhales during my search; which I could hear that she was growing tired of assisting me in my hunt. Anyways my point, after leaving this store, I felt like Julia Roberts in pretty woman. The scene where she walks in the Posh clothing boutique and she was "SNUBBED" for how she was dressed even though she had money to spend in the store. Well, I was dressed conservative warm yet stylish and I felt I was judged, like I couldn't afford anything in the store. It's 50/50 on friendly customer service.

My husband bought me a necklace from this location at Christmas to go with a pendant I got the year before (I broke two necklaces over 12 months). The necklace was too large for the pendant "bell." We happened to go to a different location to see what could be done. The person in that location told us Suffolk would upsize my "bell" for free since I bought my necklace there. BTW - we are lifelong Kay customers and have purchased many pieces from them. As it turns out, the gentleman at the other location was WRONG. He never should have offered that free service - especially at someone else's location. However, since he offered it and sent us to Suffolk, that manager honored his promise. She did not have to do that and I wouldn't have been upset if she didn't. The store was clean. The manager and her associate were friendly and efficient. I will make this my new go to location!

I tried called me to inquire about their appraisal price and their resizing price and I sat with the phone ringing for a few minutes with no answer. A terrible first impression from this company. Definitely won't be taking my ring there.

I will no longer be spending money with this company or any of its affiliates due to its subpar credit card policies and financing operations. Better off going to diamonds direct lower interest-rate‘s and the finance company doesn’t operate Like a used car warrantee scam.

Placed an order for a class ring and put my school mascot for one of the sides of me ring which is a Red Baron airplane. Well, I got an airplane but definitely not a Red Baron’s airplane. The airplane I received on my ring was ugly and you couldn’t really tell it was even an airplane on my ring because it was too small. I tried to get it fixed and I was told they couldn’t do anything about it and the lady’s at the store were very rude and ignorant about the situation. One of the ladies I had talked to, who was the one that order the ring for me had the audacity to say that an airplane wouldn’t look right on a small ring like mines, but she didn’t say that when I was telling her what I want on my ring. I will never purchase anything from Kay Jewelers again. I have learned my lesson.
