Amazing food and moderately priced. I’m used to mediocre Mexican but this was incredible! Great service too, very fast. It was busy, especially for a Thursday; I noticed a lot of people picking up takeout. I got the Texanas Quesadilla and my son for the beef and chicken nachos and ate TWO servings of Spanish rice. And the white sauce was delicious! I didn’t expect to see that this far from Hampton Roads. We WILL be back!

We were staying at a cabin on the Rappahannock not far from Urbana. We were headed to eat at Something Different (which is sadly closed now) when we drove past Mi Jalisco and decided to try it next. We are sooo glad we did! I'm not sure if it is THE best Mexican food I've ever had but I can't remember when I've had better. We were seated as soon as we got there for lunch at 11:45 on a Friday but the place filled up fast after that. There were still a couple of tables inside and on the patio but i imagine on a Saturday there would have been a wait. The chips and salsa were immediately placed on the table while we looked over the menu. Both were fresh and delicious. The "white sauce" socommon in the Tidewater area was a bit sweet for my taste but the other diners were enjoying it. I ordered the chicken and rice special, not wanting to be too adventurous at a new restaurant. Surprisingly it was amazing! I thought I was getting plain Jane but it was so good! No idea WHAT they did to the rice but wow! The guac that came on the side was really delicious too and I find that it often is not at other places. Even though it was delicious, I did not finish it. I wanted order to save room for dessert. The flan was PERFECT!! I didn't even know it could be that good. So creamy and just a hint of bitterness from the caramelized sugar sauce. It is wasn't 90 min away we would have been back twice already. The service was attentive, the atmosphere was nice, very clean and brightly colored. The chairs were comfortable enough that I would b able to enjoy staying for a drink or two if we ever go back. What an unexpected treat!

Excellent food, the shrimp was delicious and their white sauce was different and very tasty. We’ve tried Mexican food in many states but I can’t wait to go back to this one! Thank you!

Comfortable and cozy restaurant with great fresh and fast food. Very attentive and friendly staff. Fajita portion was nice and steak was flavorful and tender. Tortilla chips were warm and crispy, and beer was cold with frosty mugs! I hesitated to tell anyone because some secrets are best kept!

There are some decent Mexican dishes mixed in with the "white cheese American" ones, but you have to look hard. The decor is nice with a good selection of bottled beer.

I finally got a chance to visit Mi Jalisco in quaint Urbanna..My friend and his 12 yr old joined me. It's a very colorful place decor- wise. There's an extensive menu with lunch specials till 3pm. Even the children have a few items they will eat on the menu. The prices are reasonable and maybe the drinks are good ..based on how loud the girls next to us got.! Portions are a decent size and waiters attentive. Good place to fill up after shopping the cozy stores of Urbanna or on the way to the popular camp grounds just beyond the restaurant . I just revisited this place it was busy and the staff attentive , I think the food was a notch above the usual fare.. not as salty thank God . Dinner combos avail n much more . Food comes out quickly..
