I found Cardinal Shell Automotive through a referral from Black Wolf Auto (Woodbridge). I was new to Burke and desperate to locate an auto shop that will help fix the engine for my Chevy Equinox. It has years of bad oil leak that my previous mechanic was not able to fix. Needless to say my engine had a lot more problem. Despite their busy schedule they took my car in twice and patiently work in it. Their mechanic works many hours on my vehicle. Although, it cost a lot, so far they got my vehicle working and it is safer for me to drive again. I highly recommend this auto shop they are friendly and straight forward with the expense/cost to get the job done. Everyone at the Shell station is always pleasant and responsive to our needs. As a free service, they allow us to leave our vehicles with them for safety/emission inspections instead of having to sit in line. I’ve been using this Shell station for years with never a bad experience. It is one of those rare businesses that really knows how to treat customers - always courteous, quickly responsive, and doing excellent work at reasonable prices. Good location. They also have a shop to get car repairs and state inspections. And there’s a lot of space to park your car to just leave it there if you’re waiting for a state inspection so you can go do something else while you’re waiting. And there’s lots of shopping right nearby and restaurants so that even if you don’t have a ride to go home while you wait, you could do other stuff too. Also my favorite part is that they have a lot of Christmas decorations but they put up around the holidays. I think they also have Fourth of July decorations too. It really live and stuff the intersection.

Using this place for many years. Took car in for oil change and tire pressure check. At pick up I asked if they checked the pressure in the tires and large older gentleman with glasses at service counter said they did. Paperwork said I needed four new tires . I started car and readout said tire pressure had 26 pounds and 41 pounds in the two rear tires. Why would they lie to me about checking tire pressure if they checked tires for tread ware? Also second time they did not reset oil sensor. Trust in customer loyalty is fading. Services: Oil change, Tires

As always, the professionals at Cardinal Forest Shell were respectful, accommodating, flexible, knowledgeable, and efficient. When we were faced with several maintenance issues and their next available scheduled appointment did not fit our needs, they offered to take the car and “fit it in” whenever a technician was available to work on it. So time of completion was open-ended (“possibly a few days”)—they returned it completely finished before day 1 was over! And as usual, they gave us the convenience of shuttle service. Brought my Wrangler in for an oil change. The staff was amazing squeezing in an appt for me when I just did a walk-in. In addition, I had some missing nuts and washers on my doors I just installed and some loose/shaking doors. Dan went above and beyond to inspect my concern and was able to take care of it, and provided the missing parts which saved me a trip to Home Depot. This staff has always been amazing which is why I am a repeat customer. Thank you, Cardinal Plaza Shell Staff for always providing amazing service and doing more than expected! I had been using one of the local Toyota dealers for maintenance on our 2015 Camry Hybrid. I had recently set up an appointment with the dealer for basic maintenance, a safety inspection, and an emissions test as the two-year registration was coming due. When I drove the 25 minutes to the dealer for my appointment, the maintenance representative informed me that their emissions test equipment was inoperative, there was no estimated time of repair, and that the system had been down for two weeks. I then contacted the maintenance manager to ask why I had invested an hour of my time to drive to the dealer and back home for an appointment that they had made knowing that they could not fulfill the maintenance. I left a voice mail that he never returned. Cardinal Shell is my neighborhood, so I gave them a try. They set up an appointment. They did the maintenance and the inspections for under $150. While the Toyota dealer kept me on a schedule that activated the "Needs Maintenance Light" at 5,000-mile intervals, Cardinal Shell moved me on to synthetic oil that would only require maintenance every 10,000 miles. The special extra was that they will pick up your car from your home and return it free of charge. They now have my car maintenance business. Service: Oil change

Used the online appointment reservation system. Received timely reminders and was easy to ask questions and receive answers through Cardinal's text messaging system. Cardinal had a tire sale and it was well worth my first visit and the pricing was super reasonable for my Audi A3 tires. When my TPMS came on 2 days later, Cardinal was able to immediately address the issue without any appointment necessary. Great customer service and all of my future auto repairs will be done here! This is the third of our cars that we have had serviced in last 2 plus months. I am very pleased with the professional and thoroughness of the mechanics that have worked on all three cars. Included replacing the thermostat, timing belt tensioner, and water pump on our 2002 Stratus. The money was well spent. I am very happy with the expertise of the entire staff at Cardinal Plaza Shell.
