Terrible bank with no tellers and all online banking only.

Never been a big fan of banks, however having used a credit union, specifically this one, I am especially grateful for all of their incredible service. Recently had some fraud on my account which they helped me deal with a friendly direct and immediate manner. Their service is friendly fast and to the point. Comfortable seating while waiting, as well as free Wi-Fi available. They deal with you in a one-on-one manner, and they don't make you feel rushed.

Really awful. I was told I wasn’t able to deposit a two party check unless I opened a joint checking account with the other party, which is very inaccurate. How scary you’d be telling that to someone not knowing their situation. I just transferred to BECU and my impression is I can’t trust them with my money if they don’t even know the answer to a simple question. I went in to inquire on what I needed to do in order to cash a check and had two (I’d say associates, but that’s too generous) people working there give me false information. I wish I wouldn’t have switched and hope it’ll be a smooth transition to back out.

No tellers, no accepting currency, and condescending "service." I opened an account here to start banking in the area. Took 3 days to do. Strike 1. Then I wanted to deposit a check and some cash (coins), so I went to this branch. Couldn't walk in...had to make an appointment first. Strike 2. Talked with a rep there, who tried hard to look down his nose at me. He bluntly told me that they don't have teller service there, and if I wanted something so uncouth as a teller to help me deposit MY money in HIS credit union, I should go...to another credit union! (Oh, and his lip actually curled when I mentioned depositing coins. He indicated a Coinstar machine across the hall.) Strike 3. I haven't had the account 1 week, but I'm already out. Maybe this CU is better at other locations...but this one sure isn't.

I loved this bank when I first became a member but now I am very disappointed I even chose this bank. I cannot get a live representative for the life of me the chat messenger on the app literally leaves me hanging I have waited for 3 HOURS to get a response and NO ONE has helped me. No ones ever available to help you in the bank. COVID has completely made every customer service experience a joke. I am limited on an amount I can spend a day OF MY OWN HARD WORKING MONEY causing me to be late on house payments car payments and my electricity bill. I feel that this is completely unfair as this is my money and I should be able to access and spend however much I would like. No other credit union here in Spokane keeps your money from you. It literally takes 4 business days for ANY of my deposits to go through and than again im limited?!? EXTREMELEY frustrated I cannot wait to finally close my account and go elsewhere.

Worst customer service ever. Wouldn't recommend. We financed a truck through BECU.. 29,000$.. paid off within 6 months and we've paid off all but 300$ of a 15,000$ loan in less than 5 months. Want to pay the remainder but they don't take cards either in store or over the phone. They want you to pull money from your other bank, deposit it into your becu checking account in order to pay off anything. Telling me they can only take payment off a card if my bill is past due is outrageous. In the process of trying to streamline service they've forgot how to actually take care of the customer. I will be closing my accounts.

My personal banker, Andrew Waltner, is amazing! I had a complicated situation but Andrew went to bat for me to do what was best for me and my specific needs. He was very persistent in his follow through and was in constant communication. I met Andrew in the community at a networking event. I was thrilled to learn that a good number of respected leaders and business people also use Andrew for their personal and business banking needs. I'm grateful that people smarter than me recommended him! He has earned a positive reputation in our industry.

Poor customer service by the one actual person that was there. First time being there since I do not bank there. I am on a joint account with my mother, who lives out of the country part of the year. Was wanting to deposit a check for her to her savings account. Not a fan of their business model, using ATM's not actual tellers. Can not deposit or cash a check. Said one person, was very rude and condescending in explaining their business model. Sorry for asking why I can't deposit a check? They must put all their money into billboards and advertising instead of tellers and customer service. Can't imagine why anyone would want to be a member of this credit union when there are so many other professional and wonderful credit unions in this area.

The "Branch Offices" are a joke. There's no tellers. It's a bunch of ATM machines, and you need to have an account to use them. Becu cannot even cash a check written on the account because ITS JUST ATM MACHINES!! If you're socially inadequate and prefer computers over humans then take your weird self here. If you're a healthy, social human use any other bank. Hell, you can bank online and avoid this useless bank of ATMs entirely.
