Love this place! I live in Appleton but stop in to eat and stock up on groceries whenever I come through Milwaukee. They are so welcoming, too. Really a gem for the community.

I had never been here before and was looking to try something new. Wow! This food is absolutely delicious! My wife and I had the combination plates. I had never had hummus this good. The salad was incredibly fresh. The chicken, lamb and beef were so tender and full of flavor. Everyone there was so friendly. It was a great experience and can't wait to return.

By far the best in the business when it comes to quality food whether it’s grocery’s or a ready meal, you will not be disappointed….whenever I’m in Milwaukee to visit my family members I have to stop here to buy my aunt a gift as they have many to choose from….I had also just used the butcher shop for a huge party and was surprised by the compliments I received from my family members on the quality and cuts of Lamb Overall I’ve never really felt welcomed at middle eastern stores but by far these people have it down ! 10/10

Food was fabulous, and there was a lot to enjoy. Made fresh while you waited.

Hours listed until 10pm, showed up at 7pm. The “Open” sign was lit in the window, but an employee turned me away at the door with no explanation.

The BEST falafel sandwich, with the best options! They have now added roasted cauliflower to the additions!!! They are very friendly here, made to order food, with extremely reasonable prices. Love it! Plus it is connected to the grocery store to browse around while you wait or get some fresh pita bread!

Looooove this place! The hummus is the best! They make your food fresh so be prepared to wait, not fast food, a good meal. Everyone is so nice. The restaurant is connected to a grocery like store. The employee is so sweet. I have yet to visit the bakery next to it. But I had some of the baked goods from there in the grocery store. Everything is delicious!

Loved This little authentic place. We orders a kabob it was made while we shopped in the grocery store. We didn’t know what all Of things items were but bought the baklava. The baklava was tastey, as was the kabob. Excited to go back and try another menu item. The kabob was about 4 dollars!! Cheap and thank you for the water!

Based on all of the high reviews we were expecting a wonderful experience. Those other reviewers must be easily pleased. The name and website confuses the customer. The official name is "Holy Land Grocery and Deli", Google Maps lists it as "Holy Land Grocery and Bakery" and on the company website is a section describing the "Middle Eastern Restaurant". The sign on the building is "Holy Land Grocery and Deli". Simply put, we went there expecting a restaurant attached to a grocery store and found a dirty little deli section tucked in the Northeast corner of the grocery store. The reviews described excellent food so my wife ordered the chicken Shawarma and I ordered the beef Shawarma. Enormous portions for $9.99 in a carryout container. As for the food, the rice bread and hummus were delicious but both the beef and chicken were dry. They threw in the bread for free. Beverages were purchased out of the grocery cooler. The deli area sits about 12-16 people. The checkerboard floor is stained - needs a real deep clean. The ceiling tiles in the deli and grocery are all mismatch or missing. The ceiling vent tiles that supply HVAC are full of dust. There's nothing about this place that screams "Please come back." So we won't.

Great place and great people! I can always find what I'm looking for there. It actually makes me feel like at home because of the traditional music playing in the background. And the food is great! I've had regular sandwiches there, and my parents actually catered my engagement party from them. Was not disappointed either time. Everytime I'm in Milwaukee I make it a priority to at least go there to say hi to the people.
