I absolutely hate this pharmacy. The touch that me phone options suck, they never answer the phone, and they never notify me when my prescription is ready. They're probably way understaffed. Never going there again.

7/13/22 called sevral times late afternoon when they did answer they put us on instant indefinite hold. Drove 7 miles to pick up the prescription hoping it was ready. We asked if we got our Cigna HMO cost on the antibiotic, (cost $26). She said yes it should have been around $124. I checked the price on Good RX we could have purchased it for $14.. Rude. Rude.. no time for the customer. We won't be back.

They used to be great, now they aren't. They're consistently understaffed. My husband and I spent an hour total today in two trips trying to pick up my medication. I went at 3 pm, waited in line for 20 minutes, only to be told the pharmacist had just stepped out and they couldn't release my meds. My husband went at 5:30, waited in line, then was again told the pharmacist had stepped out and he had to wait 20 more minutes.

Wow, shocked at the poor reviews. This pharmacy is absolutely great (imo). Haven't had even close to a rough experience here and we've come in with all sorts of transfers, questions, and family members to get established here. The staff has been great, barely anyone ever in line, and same-day vax for most shots. We trans from Walgreens so maybe because they all seem to be dumpster fires the bar wasn't set very high, but my family and I truly enjoy this location and the staff running it.

Understaffed and extremely unprofessional. Stood in the Drop Off prescription line for 15 minutes without being acknowledged. After watching 3 customers walk-in after me and leave, I asked the pharmacist if there was anyone working in Drop-Offs. Pharmacist shouted, “Just me bro!” Calling you customers “bro” doesn’t seem very professional and it obviously made others in line uncomfortable. Every interaction at this location expressed the feeling that no one wanted to be there. I understand that being understaffed can make it overwhelming, but do not take your frustrations out on the customer. If there had been some acknowledgement of my presence, I wouldn’t have asked if there were any Pharm Techs that could assist. Very disappointing to receive poor customer service.

If I could put 0 i probably would as well. But I'll give one to the male pharmacist because he is the only one that can do the job right and I never have any problems when he's there. But when he's not there I DREAD my experience. I've been on the same medication for 4-5 years now and never had issues until I came to this place. Sometimes they have it in stocks sometimes they don't (but they don't tell you they don't until you're waiting 4 hours and call back) OR they tell me my insurance won't cover it when in fact that's not true either bc I've had the same insurance all these years too. So I've had to call my insurance multiple times. One time it was bc they were running the generic medication not the actual one my insurance covers and this time it was bc they WERE RUNNING A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MEDICATION. My insurance agent laughed and said that it would be really simple if they would just call us instead of waiting hours until I call them back to do their job for them. I said I know and this happens a lot here. But I have to take it here bc it's close to my house and alot of pharmacy my insurance stopped covering unfortunately. Now they don't have it in stock and I have to wait for my medication that is very much needed twice a day. One last thing there are 2 Burnette women that work there that are so unbelievably rude. If it wasn't for the male pharmacist this place would not be in business. They are always under staffed it seems too. Like step it up and do your damn jobs. Call the insurance places and call the person back if you don't have it in stock and let them know some ppl REALLY RELY ON CERTAIN MEDICATIONS FOR DAILY FUNCTIONS. Step it up safeway yall charge enough on groceries you should be able to afford to find better employees 😅

If I could give this place zero stars I would.. for 6+ Months I have filled the same exact prescription through the same insurance company but this time because my original location was out I had to go to this location! When I get there this brunette girl who wasn’t the pharmacist but looked like a helper was very rude! Right off the bat and she kept saying nope this isn’t working you have to pay this because you have a new insurance I stated yes I do but I’ve had it for months never had to use it so I gave it to her.. then she goes nope your secondary won’t cover the co-pay. Tells me my copay is $500... 500?! I’m like no way, this medication has ALWAYS been covered there’s no way, and I said it very nicely and the more I kept stating there’s no way like how is that possible the more rude she got like she started to fight with me.. then pharmacist male gets involved and goes oh that insurance doesn’t even cover it I’m like yes they do they have for 6 months now.. so I call my secondary insurance and am trying to figure this out on my own cause clearly these people don’t know how to do their own job I have to do it FOR THEM! An hour later and standing there sick as hell with the flu.. I get it figured out they tell me they will cover it the pharmacist needs to put in this coverage code hand my phone to the pharmacist so the insurance lady can explain how to do it and he’s all well where do I put this? And she’s like sir, I don’t know your system I just know this is what you have to put.. he got rude with her hands me back the phone and stated they don’t know what they’re doing I can’t do that.. so I tell her he can’t figure it out and she asks me to relay for him to call his help desk to get this code in.. so I tell him and who does he call?? THE GIRL who was there earlier being rude and told him no we can’t do that or she doesn’t know how.. 10, mins after he waste his time with that phone call, he tells me “im sorry, but I’m going to have to call my help desk” ... at that point I’m like I just told you this.. like come on, then he proceeds to tell me “but! It’s going to take about an hour before I can get to it because I’m very busy” which don’t get me wrong I get it he was by himself but I feel I should be a first priority because at this point it’s been 2 hours of me being there! Trying to get my script filled.. so I said forget it I’m going home feed my family and I’ll call in an hour.. so I do and I get told that the reason it’s rejecting is because there is now a generic version so my insurance isn’t recognizing that. I’m like that makes no sense because my primary is covering the name brand it’s just the copay my other insurance is picking up because they said they would.. HA! No. So I tell them forget it I’ll figure it out I’m sick I can’t mess with this go and pick up my script decide I’m going to to go the 24 hour Walgreens.. I go there drop it off and tell them what my insurance said the special code was to put it under for the copay to be picked up... WITHIN 5 minutes! 5 freaking minutes.. Walgreens had it figured out copay covered everything I walked out the door with my script 15 mins later paying $0 vs the $500 Safeway was trying to get out of me but yet Safeway was saying the code won’t take because of a generic ?! Ha no because y’all either don’t want to do your job or don’t know how to do it!!! I’m so frustrated with this place maybe if they had been nice instead of making me feel like an idiot.. and making me do their job for them I wouldn’t be writing this nasty review, it’ll be going to the manager next! This customer service wasn’t okay. Do yourself a favor go to the one in Apache Junction or go to Higley and baseline if you wanna use Safeway pharmacy if you want polite and educated service!
