I hate to leave negative reviews- but I ordered a couple thousand dollars worth of lumber to build a pergola in my backyard. The lumber was delivered and most of it was warped, uneven widths and sizes which really makes an impact when trying to build something that needs precision. I contacted them and expressed my disappointment and they couldn’t do anything “to make it right” which is even more disappointing. Some of the lumber was even unusable. I will not be using them for any future home projects and will pay more to go somewhere else.

I called to get pricing for a large job I have coming up for my Apartment Complex in Mesa. The rep accused me of being a "scammer/fraud"... simply because of the amount I was attempting to get quoted. I'm a legitimate person, I told him my company, I even have the address of apartments we're I'll be replacing that he can simply look up and verify I'm the owner. Worst customer service experience, it's truly a shame that just because you're unable to fulfill the order, you accuse me of being a scam. I hope that rep gets the proper training he needs and never disrespect another potential customer like that again.

I own a glass replacement company and many times we need patio door inserts. Heldt has good prices, good turnaround times and Chris always helps us find the right products we need. Would definately recommend them for building products.

Went here for the first time today and I am super impressed! The staff was awesome and they have a great selection of wood, lumber, stain and all types of tools. Go here for all your lumber needs. I ordered some Trex and it was cheaper than the big box and much faster to get delivered right to the job site. Love this place!

Good people. Been a neighborhood fixture forever. They will make it right if you have a problem. They are primarily a "contractor" type store, but will help anyone with there DIY project. Not a hardware store, they are a lumber store.

Im new to the area and needed some MDF cut for me. Not much, just a small project. Needed it cut close to the measurements due to its going to be apart of furniture. I dont have a table saw. It was a great experience. Everyone was more than helpful, very courteous and professional. I received exactly what I needed in no time. I ever need anything in the form of wood working, or a lumber yard? I will not hesitate to go back to this excellent business.

I'm very amateur at building but I have competed 5 different projects. I came to Heldt initially because it is close to where I live. The service here has been inconsistent. Some really good, some not so much. The speed is the best part though. I tried home depot on my 4th project and it took 2.5 hrs to get the materials I needed when it would have taken 30 minutes at Heldt. I will keep coming here!
