Banfield is such a scam. After all kinds of bs i decided to cancel the wellness plan for Raven. They wanted to charge me for all kinds of services that i didnt use, after questioning that, i was told it was the cancellation fee, then the call agent changed it back one more time to the imaginary service fees. I asked to speak with a manager, there was none. Overall bad experience.

This place is a joke! All they do is get you to sign up for a medical plan and give your dogs shots. If your dog is sick with an emergancy don't even bother taking them because they never have openings. They push for you to sign up for the highest care plan that offer extra stuff like cheaper x rays and labs but then tell you to go to emergancy hospital to pay full price. Find a different vet people!

This place isn't a real pet hospital. They get your pet in and out to collect money. We had to tell them several times NOT to pull teeth. Oh and the last time I took my dog in she got a perfect health report from the staff and she DIED 4 days later. I called the 1800 to cancel my dogs health plan and I owed them money. Not saying they hurt my dog but I would definitely take my next pet to a vet that can tell if a dog is healthy or not.

This place was amazing! Our tech Sam took the time to listen to my concerns with Zeus’s condition. She expressed them with Dr. Jablonski (since it was a drop off appointment)! The appointment went great, far better than it did at the Banfield Elliott store! Hopefully We don’t have to go back too soon, but I will definitely consider this our “home” Banfield from now on! Thank you to the wonderful staff, Sam, and Dr. Jablonski ❤️ Thank you Gail and Zeus

The last vet we went to sent me information for the wrong dog after weeks of requesting records. Banfield is super convenient in offering all info online. The staff here has always been super friendly, both to me and my pup, and I trust them to take good care of my fur baby.

I've been to a few Banfield locations here in the valley and have 3 dogs registered with their health plans. Up until recently I've had a great experience, it wasn't until I started coming to this Scottsdale location off Miller rd and Camelback that I've decided to cancel all 3 pet's plans. The front desk staff is set on pushing their personal views and beliefs of covid that there is no talking sense to them. I have underlying lung health issues that could be aggravated by wearing a mask. they refused to speak to take my puppy and said they'd call management if I didn't put a mask on or leave. They said I could do curbside but it would take 4 additional hours to see me. The issue was so simple, they could of worn 2 masks (3 if they are that concerned) taken my puppy, I had nothing to sign since all of my info is already in their system, and given me a pick up time. But no they were on a power trip. They wanted to force the mask on me. I'm an adult, and after being treated this way today I would never recommend this pet hospital to anyone.

Poor policy. We had our pup vaccinated at Banfield Mcdowell Mountain location and they gave us the medication for heart worm but not flea and tick, due to unavailability. We are enrolled in Optimum wellness plan plus and the doctor suggested to pick up the flea and tick at another location. I called up this location at Miller Road and they declined with a response of " your pet hasn't visited to any of the doctor's at all at Banfield and we can't sell it to you"!!??? , while having the stock. This has been our third visit to Banfield and it's all in the pup's records. The brilliant part - its already been paid for the whole year and they just refuse. This location acts as though it's outside of Banfield while being named "Banfield". This should just have been as customary as picking up meds from a different Walmart or CVS , but no!

The front desk staff are the most unprofessional people that I’ve ever dealt with at this location. They pushed their personal beliefs about COVID and refused service to my puppy. Shame on pet smart for hiring such low quality employees. I’m taking my 3 dogs elsewhere and cancelling my health plans permanently.

DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR PET!!! These people will not do everything they can for your pet. They will do the bare minimum at best, and if your pet has any underlying issues they will not catch anything that isn't completely obvious. I took my cat into Banfield back in April for a list of concerning issues that I had started noticing. Balance issues, head tilt, loss of appetite, etc. They told me over the phone it could possibly be a severe inner ear infection. That made sense because her ear was bothering her the week before. They saw her twice, we tried 2 different treatments of antibiotics. She was 11 years old and the first doctor (Dr Joc Rawls) said she had some pretty serious symptoms going on. Not once did anyone recommend blood work to me. After 6 weeks of her not responding to treatments with Banfield, I decided to take her into a different vet to get a second opinion before her 3rd follow up appointment with Banfield. The second vet actually did blood work and found that she was also in kidney failure and had several cancerous masses spreading throughout her body. They said they had no idea how Banfield didn't catch all of that. They told me there was very little they could do for her at this point and recommended she be put down. Within 48 hours, she was gone. The next day Banfield called to ask me what kind of ear infection she had. Mind you, they have seen her twice already, so they should know this. I told the girl what happened and she blamed me for declining blood work. Blood work that was never recommended to me. She told me the practice manager would contact me the next day. This was almost 2 weeks ago and not a single person from Banfield has reached out to me. Do not make the same mistake I did by trusting these people.
