I did my exam for an eyeglass prescription in December with optometrist Adam Glover. Soon, I felt like something was wrong with the lens and I had a headache the entire time. I had to redo it again at Costco. This doctor is incompetence to do his job, I would rather call him America’s worst optometrist.

I've been shopping at America's Best for 4 years. Great place to come if you have no insurance $50 vision test and two pairs for $130.00. I love the Ray Ban options that they have for prescription. I also love the Sean John glasses, which I've probably bought 4 pairs of that collection alone. I see reviews saying "cheap glasses", which maybe you should pick something of better quality because they do have it available, so maybe stop being CHEAP. They do have insurance for scratches and breaks. I've scratched my blue coated Ray ban sun glasses, and I've never had an issue with them fixing them. On the other hand they done a great job. The girls here are always professional, and the doctors do a great job. I have diabetes and am losing vision in my left eye, they've been able to help my vision get better! I have seen great improve in my eyes with the help of America Best! I am truly grateful for all the help. I am a tougher customer to please because I'm picky about the glasses that I pick, but they always have options for high end and cheaper versions if that's what you seek. Thank you to the staff. I worked customer service for 20 years. Some people can never be pleased, as you can clearly see from some of the impatient comments that I read. I apologize on behalf of those impatient, needy, and less understanding human beings. This staff is great and should be applauded for the fast pace customer service that the provide.

The visit was friendly. Staff was accommodating. They were quick and efficient and gave me the time to look without feeling pressured. I would recommend to friends n family. And I will be back for my next pair of glasses

I had an exam at Americas Best and then ordered on Americas Best website and it took 2 weeks to confirm my prescription. No communication with me at all. I’m STILL waiting for my contacts. I do not think they are America Best at all.

They cancel my appointment cause I’m little late they say they busy but no one in shop I had eye exams Before that I scheduled appointment for eye exam but doctor wasn’t there !!!!!

This place is great. I have special eye needs thus I have always found it difficult when it came to getting fitted for contacts. The doctor at America's Best in Castro Valley is very knowledgeable and professional. The entire staff is friendly and very patient with me. Out of all the optometrists I have been to over the course of my life, America's Best is really the best!

Extremely nice and knowledgeable staff, came here just to try it and ended up bringing both my parents. The 70 dollar promotion seems to be always valid as long as you don't get any extras. I would definitely recommend coming to this place to get a new set of glasses.

Partner went in. Whoever did the insurance transposed numbers or whatever, in short they messed up. Had to pay out of pocket, called insurance and they said he was covered. Called back and argued with whoever that there was coverage. After a back and forth of that, they realized their mistake and requested he come back on a separate occasion so they could give him a refund. In addition, without explanation of extra imaging not being covered under insurance which they said he didn’t have. He spent 2x the amount of the co pay of the exam for the extra imaging. Insurance explained they cover frames up to 120$. As we sit here now, the technician told us the cost is 94.95$. We had to argue that that wasn’t right. Restarting the whole process, she was able to bill insurance. There is an additional co pay of 10$ for lenses. And now it turns out eye exam was free no copay. They owed us more refund. Taking prescription and getting glasses elsewhere.

This place seems so shady. I called to make an eye exam appointment and they had a 15 to 20 second spiel about how they are the best. I then asked if they took my insurance and the lady on the phone said no but yes we'll take it at 40% discount. I read the reviews, thanks for the warning! They are notorious for bad quality glasses and services, ran away with my money fast!
