I am so dissatisfied with everything this company offers. I was due for a check up on my contact prescription. They weren't allowing me to buy contacts anymore from my old prescription (which is fair enough because the old prescription was given to me at their Pico Rivera location and I always felt it was off and not strong enough for my eyes) until I went in and was retested. So I go in and get tested and provide them my eyeglasses too. Despite them knowing one of my eyes is stronger than the other and therefore the prescription is different for both eyes, they ordered the wrong contact lenses so that I could have the same prescription for both eyes. When I went to try them on, one of my eyes felt off and the doctor explained why, aka they ordered the wrong one so I could have the same prescription for both eyes. So now I have to wait longer for the new order to come in. Approximately how long is up in the air. And I'm not able to buy contacts from my old prescription either. I'm in this weird limbo waiting on them. Due to the nature of my job, contacts are more convenient than glasses so I've been struggling this whole time. If they would have ordered the right contact lenses from the start this could have all been avoided. I thought maybe the Downey location would be different since I had a bad experience at their Pico Rivera location. Now i realize this company just operates poorly. For a few dollars more I should have gone to Costco or Walmart.

I am extremely dissatisfied at the customer service the Downey branch gave me. I showed my insurance card to the representative and she didn’t even took it she said they didn’t take my insurance. I left and called my insurance and they said that I was covered with them. I called the place and the same girl that told me in person that she didn’t take my insurance told me they did take this insurance. I told her why did she said they didn’t take my insurance when I went in person and she said she thought it was blue cross with medical . Omg she just assumed instead of looking at my card to find out I actually have blue cross through my work .

Came to get my daughter frames and after I picked the display frames I wanted the lady proceeds to tear off the tags from the display frames and I asked if they had any new ones and she said no. So I asked if they could at least give me a discount since they were displays since they weren't tight fitting at all (arms were loose) and she said they can't per company policy. I said why would I pay full price for used displays and she said they could order them for me. You should mention this to customers beforehand, not when they are about to pay. I understand some ppl might not care about buying g displays but I doubt people want to buy frames that have been worn by countless people and pay full price for them. That should be mentioned out of courtesy.

I have a great experience to share but why should you believe me? 🤔 There was an issue with my eyeware (I truly believe it was material related) and was having issues contacting the store physically or by phone. Once I was able to explain to the Regional Manager what the issues were, she was very helpful in getting me the help I needed. with the way you feel your glasses the first time they find a way to make you feel better. I don't think you should take my word for it. Amy is a great manager and the rest of the staff is welcoming right from when you open the entrance door. Again if you need glasses you need to come here.

I scheduled appointments online May 3rd for me and my 11 yrs old daughter. Dr. Cindy Lee was nice and informative experienced with her. After exam we have plenty of time to choose frames. I thank Janelle, one of the associates helped me. Although I felt she's more concerned of selling to me, she's gave me I think fair prices for my lences. Came back May 14 to pickup my prescriptions and my daughter had eyes dilated. It was good experience with Dr. Lee.

I went to purchase a new pair of glasses. They have a wide selection frames and different lens choices. It does take quite a while to get service, don't know if it's due to the shortage of sales people or other complications. Once a salesperson did wait on me I was happy with the help and finishing up the order.

I went to only to pick up my glasses on a Saturday (09/19) and there was only one person available to help. I am not too sure what happen but the Doctor called her over and she told what it seemed to be the manager that there was people waiting. I mean I just find it very unprofessional that she needed to ask for help. I also noticed a young girl helping out but I don't think she worked there. Other than that my glasses turned out great.

I made a purchase for glasses last year out-of the Downey landing store. When I picked them up I attempted to pay for the warranty and their credit machine did not work. My son needed the glasses as he could not see without them and they were his first pair so we left without paying based on the honor system. The agent that was helping us to make the purchase also gave us the glasses at pick up and said he would not process the paperwork until I picked up my 2nd pair which arrived 2 days later and I could pay for the warranty for both glasses then. I went to pick up the glasses and was told that someone processed the paperwork and I could no longer make the warranty payment. I was able to make a payment on the 2nd pair of glasses and the agent assured us that he would add notes to our record stating that I tried making payment on the first pair and America's best would honor the warranty because it was their error. Today I called America's best and was told notes were not added and my sons glasses would not be covered. Please be aware, sometimes there is no honor in a persons word and a few are just looking out for themselves. I personally will never use America's best out of principle. Make sure you get things in writing before leaving. Lesson learned. America's best, please don't reply to this post unless you have resolved the issue. Words are useless unless action is behind them.

I made an appointment for 2:45pm they are in a large shopping center and I had a bit of trouble finding them. When I walked in the receptionish said "oh its 2:49 I'll have to see if we can still take you". I said really? And she said yes we're by appointment only. She then explained that her Drs were still at lunch but she'd check to see if they could still accommodate me. I said if they are still at lunch why is this an issue. Another staff said we already have 4 clientschecked in. At that point I just decided to leave. Absolutely it's always better to be early than later but really 4 minutes? Seems like there could have been a better way to handle this. And if the Dr. Was still at lunch how long was I going to have to wait?

I am very satisfied with the excellent customer service i received here at Americas Best, on 7/13/20 i had a 3:15 pm apt i was in and out, the lady that assisted me with finding the right glasses was very nice, and explained to me my best option to fit my needs. The Dr, she was very nice, friendly, a little on the rushed side, but was great! I will be using Americas Best for all my future eye apt's. Thank you.
