Had a nice time with friends. Our server Alex was super friendly and made our dining experience extra nice. Food is fantastic and portion sizes are big. Highly recommended if you are in the mood for Mexican :)

DISGUSTING!!!! DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME.. ORDERED THE FAJITAS FOR TWO AND THERE WAS MORE VEGGIES THAN MEAT. DEFINITELY NOT AUTHENTIC FOOD! Who doesn’t have horchata in a Mexican restaurant?! Will Never take my family there again. Very disappointed! Especially when the menu has one price and charge you differently on the bill. SMFH!

Happy Cinco De Mayo! Great restaurant decor. Friendly service. Margaritas were tasty and the beer was cold. 4 stars for now because in my opinion, the guacamole can be a little better. Come on chef! Ill be back at a later date to try it again.

1. One of the waitresses just pointed a table for us to sit rather than take us with a smile, 2. The margaritas where in a bowl instead of a margarita cup and made it really strong. 3. The food I ordered had a lot of water and the other food was not cooked right. Plus they gave us so much chips and the guacamole looked like it was expired and the owners knew about it and still gave it to us and my family. Then there was a awful smell. The place looks so dull and sad like someone died.

The margaritas are awesome, salsa is perfect spicy and chips are so fresh! Today is Friday at 6:45pm it is busy but not full. The food is delicious and the beer is cold. Thank you El Cortez crew you made our evening amazing.

Such a good ambience. The Cadillac margarita is awesome. I had the Chile verde for lunch, very good. They are busy for lunch but the restaurant is big so no lines. They still have the outside seating, which is very good for them. Lots of locals but families too.

The food there is delicious!!! Everything is fresh & authentic!!! Had a lady there playing guitar & singing. Great atmosphere! Griselda, our waitress, did a fantastic job!! Definitely going back!

My friend was getting a haircut in the same Plaza, so I decided to check out EL Cortez. Glad I did! Pretty quiet on Thursday at 2:45pm, but it's also fairly big, so people are able to spread out. I recommend the Molly Cove area, as I liked the view of the street and trees. Food was delicious and reasonable priced (got the combination plate w/ two fish tacos), and service was excellent. Also I recommend the pomegranate margarita - light on ice.
