I had a passport appointment I even called the day before to confirm and everything was good untill the next morning I got a call that the person that handles the passport was not in I missed work and lost money and time for nothing very unprofessional

Never schedule an appointment with this office, no respect for your time . My wife schedule an appointment for passport for our child, when we arrived a clerk told us the person who do the applications did not show up , so where we didn’t receive an email or notification to reschedule as we took the day off from our work . I asked for manger . He buzzed him and then he said he is not here too . No one cares , no one charge . What do you expect for your services . NEVER make an appointment here . Bad customer service and attitude.

Came in here today to get my passport for the first time. Person was not here , running late. The OLD BLACK lady ( the only one in that office ) was rude to say the least. She told me I can wait outside and just keep checking from time to time . They should close this place and put this person to retire. Oh yes, and their photo machine is not working . It seems that it has not been working for at least 3 months. Maybe when they are out of a job, they'll appreciate it more and do the job they are paid to do ....

Scheduled a passport appointment for my new born and wanted the pictures done there because the baby get dust very quickly. Their camera didn’t work so we have to travel to a CVS and back. Even with our appointment there was so many people waiting for passports and the appointment clients were not prioritized. We waited about an extra hour because of the line. Was not a great experience with the baby. The staff was very friendly and helpful but they need to be prioritizing the appointment

We scheduled our passport appointment, show up 15 minutes before like the website states only to be told that the ONLY person who processes passport applications is on vacation. The “supervisor” rescheduled us for two weeks later when that person returns from vacation. I call on the day that we rescheduled just to make sure because they were shady once already, and this time the ONLY person who processes passport applications left home early. I’m told to come back the next day. They call me the next day and now the ONLY person who processes passport applications is out sick, possibly Covid and I need to reschedule VIA THE WEBSITE!! I understand people get sick and people take time off but wasting my time and now my money is beyond measure. I love the post office and the services they provide, I just wish the people who ran them cared about us too.

I waited weeks for a package to arrive from China . According to the tracking number it was sent to my local post office in Montclair 3 weeks ago on Jan 14th ,2021 but from there it vanished into thin air.. They can't find it or take any responsibility for this loss .

Unbelievable experience, so bad that my head is still spinning. Don't bother trying to speak to these people's boss, the postmaster, they will simply block that attempt. I work very long hours and cannot get to the Post Office during the week, and there has been a lot of mail theft in my neighborhood. 3 times I put mail on hold during the week asking for accumulated delivery on Saturday which is an option when you put your mail on hold. That never happened, and then I received a call from an unidentified female at the Post Office stating that I could no longer put my mail on hold so I stopped. My mail was still not delivered and 3 weeks later I called to find out why. I was given various stories such as they were very good about following up in calling, they held mail for 10 to 15 more days per policy after a hold was up and so on which is absolute nonsense. I let them know I had not received a call letting me know this, I then went online and set up a PO Box. When I went to the Post Office they told me to put in a forwarding address card which I did asking that my mail not be forwarded until the following Monday. I had Saturday Amazon deliveries that I really needed, and instead they were all returned because they stated that USPS said I had moved with no forwarding address. These people have absolutely no respect for the right of citizens to receive their mail, post offices should be a thing of the past as they are useless! I will be trying to register a complaint with the postmaster general of California given then I cannot get to the postmaster at Montclair Post Office.

We own a business in Montclair and we've had a very bad experience when our normal mailman (who has been with USPS for a very long time) isn't there. I love our regular mailman. But when he's on vacation or something we don't get our mail at all sometimes! Other times we get other people's mail. Luckily I am courteous and I put it back with a note. I don't want to know how many times my mail was delivered to someone else! Most days we await very important documents and no mail gets delivered. Our mailman told me that sometimes they get lazy and don't want to get out of their car! WOW! This is what MY TAX DOLLARS are paying for!! I can't wait until everything is digital and electronic so I won't have to rely on lazy people!

The staff has always been efficient and courteous. The line moves pretty quickly too. My daughter's passport application was processed smoothly. Packages are delivered to me with care. The folks here are doing an outstanding job.
