The rude, incompetent employees are horrible to work with. I have no idea how they are still in business to be honest. Today 1/2 a 4k couch arrived at my house. When I called west elm they told me they shipping company probably lost it. To wait a couple weeks. And if it’s not found they are sorry. That’s. It. They literally do not care.

West elms on line service is the worst. The date you see for possible deliveries is erroneous, especially with furniture. You won’t get furniture, even though marked “ready to ship” until the end of that bogus date. Or that’s when they get it in their warehouse for re-distribution so it could be another month after the date they list on their website. The customer service team cant answer simple questions at all. It’s exhausting. I’m a big fan of the product but their service standards have decreased Dramatically! I spent well over $25,000 in the last couple years, but the disappointment It’s overwhelming and how they’re handling things

I’ve been here many times. The furniture is overpriced and the quality is not worth the amount you pay for it. The customer service is also a topic all in itself. The employees seem incapable of providing decent customer service. Either under qualified to be there or poor management! Either way, I’d avoid this location like the plague.

I've bought quite a few items from West Elm, including their Box Frame Drop Leaf Expandable Table. It recently and suddenly developed a split in the wood grain. I contacted West Elm to see if they could provide any support but since the table was purhcased more than a year ago, they said they can't do anything. The table is 4 years old, which is not long for a piece of furniture that has been treated well and is supposed to be sustainbale. Furniture that isn't built well enough and has 0 support (not expecting it to be fully covered, but SOME accountability and support would be nice).

I ordered an item. And they said they delivered it i was home all day. And nothing came to my house. They didnt even give me a tracking number or anything. No way for me to see. I contacted customer support and no help from there. Litterly spent $500 for my items not to arrive. They were suppose to be a christmas gift to. Dont order anything from here if you want your items to be “delivered”.

I had put an item in my shopping cart for $899 (which was the full price...NOT a sales price). I went to check out the following morning and the item price had changed to $1599. I had a screenshot of the original $899 pricing and they still would not honor that price (even though it had changed overnight). I was surprised that the cart price was updated but the customer service rep told me that happens quite often. It sounds slim shady to me. The item I was purchasing (a chandelier) was a 700 price difference so thank goodness I noticed it when I went to checkout. It also baffles me that they raised the price of an item to almost double. The customer service rep was no help at all stating "they can't look up pricing history of an item". I don't believe the rep because plenty of companies can look up a previous price. I did not appreciate the way they handled it and I will do business elsewhere.

Don't order online if you can avoid it. I ordered a shower curtain and it had a liner option for $20 more and it was a cheap plastic liner. They wouldn't let me return the liner. I had to return the entire set even though you can order it without a liner. I also ordered 6 sets of 3 ornaments and literally only received 6 ornaments and was missing the other 12. When I called, I was told they were out of stock! The item was a clearance and not returnable. I got a small amount of credit returned to my account. This was my first order and I'm returning everything! If you order furniture they force you to pay for white glove service.

Order delayed by more than 5 months and no call regarding this from customer service. When contacted multiple times the service rep mentioned the order has been lost though the website mentioned it is sitting at their Oakland distribution center. When questioned they did not provide any details. They have deducted the full item amount when it reached their distribution center. She placed another order for the same items last week and mentioned it will be delivered by Aug. Now their website states order has been delayed till Oct end. This is ridiculous and none of their reps have visibility in to the delivery and logistic systems.

The store is located in a convenient shopping center, lots to do. The store is clean and has a nice layout. However, and maybe it is hit or miss, but the staff seem very cold. Not rude, but cold. Every time I walk into the store it is hard to pin down a sales person to help. And when purchasing several items they do not offer to help you to to your car. Be prepared to make multiple trips.
