I looked up and down the coast of California for someone to make the custom engagement ring that I wanted. David & Sons not only took on the challenge, but they exceeded my expectations. Jonathan was extremely professional in helping me design the ring and advised me on different options to get the most for my budget. I live in Vandenberg Village, Ca which is about 5 hours from the store and Jonathan still worked with me to complete the order. The first time I actually went into the the store was when I picked up the ring. I was so pleased and confident in their service that I did everything over the phone. If you are looking for someone to go the extra mile and fully realize the design you have in mind go talk to Jonathan at David & Sons!

My partner and I had a great experience at this store in August. We worked with Edmond, who helped me find a wedding band that matched my engagement ring perfectly. He was very passionate about us having a good experience and about picking the best ring for me. Edmond was also very accommodating of us because my partner and I had a flight back home the same day we bought the ring, so he promptly had the ring sized and cleaned for me. He also cleaned my engagement ring. Overall, I would recommend this jeweler and when I'm in San Diego again, I would love to go back!

I cant say enough good things about David & Sons. Jonathan was my jeweler and I would never imagine going anywhere else for my jeweler needs. Jonathan was the 12th Jeweler I visited in my search for the perfect engagement ring and right off the bat I knew Jonathan was going to be the guy to help me. I had quite specific design in mind and Jonathan made sure I was listened to, never pressured, and helped me create the perfect ring for my fiance - which she is absolutely in love with. Front to back - Jonathan was excellent and patient which is important when your customer has a million questions and thoughts (me). The team at David & Sons is amazing! My husband did a custom-designed engagement ring for me with the help of the team over 10 years ago! We now purchase all our fine jewelry from David & Sons because the quality and service is unbeatable. My husband recently surprised me with an upgrade to my engagement ring for our 10 year wedding anniversary, and the team was amazing in helping him pick out the perfect ring! I love it! Armin at David & Sons was absolutely wonderful during the process of designing a custom engagement ring for my now fiance! Armin sat with me multiple times and sent me multiple designs to get it just right and had no problem understanding what i wanted from the get go! Go to David and Sons! I recently got engaged to my now future wife and we decided on David and Sons after my brother and I did many weeks of research from jewelers all over the world. We contacted Jewelers across the USA, India and Europe. I decided on David and Sons because of the stellar reviews and friendly knowledgeable staff. We never felt pressure to buy anything and the sales staff were just as interested in educating us about diamonds as they were helping us find the perfect ring. When I entered the La Jolla store I was welcomed warmly by the staff. The storefront is beautiful and you cannot miss it when you walk by. I worked with Edmund as well as a few others but Edmund found out my fiance's taste in the style of ring almost instantly. Edmund explained the different metrics of how diamonds are measured, which was greatly appreciated. Edmund was very upfront and honest he even showed us under a microscope why his diamonds are the best compared to other retail chain jewelers across the United States. The unique diamond cuts and bands impressed us immensely. I want to stress that all of the rings / bands / diamonds are one of a kind. The ring I purchased can not be found anywhere else. Since the style of ring is unique they are not advertising their HUGE selection of custom bands and stones on the web site. You need to go into the store to get the entire experience. Edmund truly cares about his customers and clients as he was willing to stay late and work with us while we picked the perfect ring. The ring was sized the next day and was ready for pickup. Most jewelers we talked to would have taken weeks for the ring to be sized and ready for pickup…not David and Sons. They have a master jeweler in the store that allows for this quick turnaround. Even after we decided on the ring and stone and were ready to purchase, Edmund continued to educate us on diamonds, he truly cares and wants what is best for his clients. You can sense his passion for jewelry and his commitment to his clients. Did I mention they provide free lifetime maintenance and cleaning for jewelry you purchase from them? Well they do, which is a huge bonus. Even if it has been a few days since the last cleaning, if you are shopping at the mall they say just drop it off for an hour and it will be cleaned. This was such a breath of fresh air as some jewelers never want to see you again once you make a purchase. I cannot stress enough how pleased me and my wife are with David and Sons. Go there.
