Worst place Ever. They don't even deserve 1 star. They say make a reservation online, its faster. I call and confirm and they say yes everthing is fine,Then they call 2 hours before my pick up stating they don't have anymore cars available. This place sucks. DONT USE THEM.

According to their main contract they gave me full tank but the actual had 3/4 gas tank only and it was written in their pink slip; 4 of its tires were not properly inflated. I have to spent half an hour just to correct them. Oil change sensor keep on displaying. No pickup or drop off services. Office opens at 9am and I arrived 9:10 am with three customers ahead of me. I got charged for an hour because he clocked me 9:24am after serving customers ahead of me.

Wouldn't honor my reservation because they didn't have any cars available. I'm not sure I understand how I can make a reservation in the morning for a car and by 1pm that car I reserved is gone. Of course, this is my fault and my problem because "well, we tried to call you." And, no, they can't work with me despite this being their mistake because "but we tried to call you." They had the wrong number on file. I understand things happen, and if they actually did try to contact me I guess I understand even more. However, the employee was unhelpful, unsympathetic, and unapologetic. She made everything about the situation worse, continually shifting blame instead of working with me to move forward. This didn't have to be a bad experience just because they made a reservation that they couldn't fill, but it sure did end up that way. I am trying Turo instead.

Cherie the manager was so unprofessional in dealing with me . I returned car on time however I forgot to fill the tank up so I asked her if I could run across the street and she said she would have to charge me $65 dollars so she said that I might as well rent for an extra day for $86. She then became very hostile towards me when I told her no and that I would be paying $9.99 a gallon and I asked for her name and she said she didn’t care that we would not be coming back as she abruptly walked away to check the odometer, she came back printed my receipt and didn’t even acknowledge me, so rude. We rent cars frequently and happened to come here but we will not be coming back. The way she treated me was very ugly and very unprofessional. PLEASE DON’T COME HERE! There are plenty of professional, kind and earnest places here in upland and Ontario. Cherie you give Avis a very bad representation and we live and work here locally and will not recommend this Avis location and will spread the word of how poorly I was treated here at this location. TREAT PEOPLE WITH RESPECT AND DIGNITY, I ABSOLUTELY DID-shame on you!!

Received a dirty car that I rented and was supposed to keep for 2 weeks. It needed an oil change after driving it 200 miles. I made over 10 calls to customer service not the way I wanted to start off my trip. The guy working at the counter at the upland location was really rude and needs to be fired. I guess I’ll just stick with renting from enterprise.

This is by far the worst experience. At any car rental. Showes up to pick up rental. Was told I had until 6pm. Arrived at 3:30 to find door on sign will be back at 4pm. So I waited think ok. Allowed my ride to the place leave -- my fault for assuming all waa going to go well. When the person showed back up to be told no vehicle was available. Now I am stranded. Aa you can mack out there were cars in the lot. Called the home branch to be told i could go to another location even after i told them i was dropped off and did not have a way to the other location if it was not in walking distance. Then he proceeded to to tell me I could go to the competition to rent a car and they would pay the difference as lonf as ir meet their conditions. You know this is a bunch of crop. Customer service has truely taken a massive bomb dive in to the deepest depth of space.

Poor customer service. Reserved and paid for a rental car online, and made appt at noon. I showed up a little after 1pm and was told the car was already rented to someone else and there were no more cars available. How hard would it have been to pick up the phone to confirm I still needed the rental? I've rented from Enterprise, Hertz, etc, all the other major car rentals, and never had an issue with showing up after the appointment time. And nowhere in the fine print was there anything about only holding a car for 30 minutes after an appt time. The rep working the front counter at the Upland location offered zero help. I had to walk outside and walk back in just to get the toll free customer service line. She offered ZERO HELP. And that's how many times I'll come back to this location or ever go with Avis....ZERO.

Email confirmation was $73 for a car I rented last week. Was billed $129. When I called customer service to question the billing they stated that an additional $18 was for the car being one hour late and another $31 for Roadside Assistance. The car was scheduled to be dropped off at 9am but once we were there at your facility it did not open until 10am therefore the car being late was that of Avis Reservation Department. We were never offered or anything even explained to concerning Roadside Assistance because we would of denied it. We have AAA and complete vehicle insurance coverage so we wouldn’t have a need for Avis coverage. The customer service department credited me the $18 but said a supervisor will contact me concerning the other $31. Still waiting on that. I have rented many vehicles through several agencies with my Costco membership and this is the FIRST time an agency charged “surprise” fees after my rental period. This was my first time with Avis and my last. I’m also writing to Costco corporate offices to inform them of your practices since you have a contract with them. What I’ve read from your reviews, I’m certainly not the only one this has happened to.
