I drove from Middletown to this particular location because they sale Auburn Vineyard wine! That’s a 32 minute trip! I just finished doing yard work. I had sweatpants on, a Jamaican T-Shirt and Sneakers! I had my Louis Vuttion book bag on as well. Walked into the store and the gentlemen, immediately said to “Sir please put your book bag on the counter or put it in your car”. I was beyond surprised. In Middletown, an establishment would never ask any person to remove they’re book bag or purse while shopping. I walked out the store and I shall never return. I hope this was not racially motivated!

I was just in Beaverbrook Liquors. After taking forever to pick out some Champagne which the Clerk never left the counter from watching TV to assist me in my selection. He then rung up my purchase and asked me to give him my debit card although the machine was right in front of me. I asked him why and he stated we do it back here. I asked why do u do it back there? He then got nasty with me and stated “we just do, do you want the stuff or not’. I said no thank you and left. Know your rights, he has the right to asked for ID but not the right to take your card, If machine is not working, then they cannot complete the purchase behind the counter either. The cash register is not easy visible from in front of the counter either. If he don’t trust the process, stop taking cards.

Great service, super friendly and extremely helpful. Last year, I inquired about a particular lager from Germany for October fest that they did not carry. Within a week when I return to the store they had stopped this particular brand. S someone without access to any stewards further away I was extremely appreciative of this as I was able to buy what I had not been able to for years.
