They are scamming people paid $800 for AC unit it went out after I had it for 4 months it went out and then every time I asked about it they said they'll have somebody come look at it never once did I get one phone call or ever had somebody come to my house to look at it on top of this they tried to tell me that I didn't sign for my washer and dryer which I know I signed for it I feel like they are trying to make my washer and dryer payments restart and scam people suggesting do not go to Rent-A-Center they lie the insurance doesn't cover anything I will not resign anything with them

Rented a computer from them graphics card went bad trying to make me pay for it even though I had insurance or they're going to file charges

They decided not to rent to me bc i said my boyfriend owns a business lol n didnt want to be bothered lol and because yesterday they wanted a copy of my ID and I didn't get it to him until today because I was eating when they wanted it LOL

THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS. MY SISTER BOUGHT A $250 tv for $600 I’ve a few months. The day she went to make her final payment these crook tell her she has a $100 dollar credit. So they bring out a ASUS tablet and tell her she can get this tablet for a hundred dollars off. She let me see it. WOW. A BLIND MAN COULD SEE THE BAD IN THIS TABLET. THE SCREEN IS COMING APART THERE ARE SCRATCHES ALL OVER IT AND THEY TOLD HER AFTER THE HUNDRED DOLLAR DISCOUNT SHE WOULD OWE JUST OVER $250. This same tablet goes for $60. Bucks on eBay. RAC are all crooks. Sure they are nice people,they are trying to sell you someone’s returned junk. You have to PLAY nice while inside they are thinking YOU FOOL. DO YOUR RESEARCH. AND YOU WILL FIND PUT HOW MUCH THINGS REALLY COST.

make sure you read your contract don't let them scroll down and tell you to sign. They don't have insurance on their items so if your stuff gets stolen and you feel like you still don't have to pay for it they'll put you in jail

The customer service at this place is by far the worst that I have EVER experience. Today I called to make a payment for a friend (I'm a non customer) who needed help catching up on his payment. Not only did they try to charge me an extra $11 for a "benefit fee" for which he doesn't have on his account but also wanted to charge me $2 for paying over the phone vs coming in the store where I would use the same card, same payment method for no charge! Once I questioned the employee NICOLE about it and stated if you guys have a credit card policy it would be for both in store use and over the phone that doesn't make sense, she Hung up on me! I called back and asked her did she hang up on me and she lied and said the phone got disconnected. I called her a lie and she said look mam you have 2 options you either pay the $2 or come in the store and don't pay it. After I told her once again that doesn't make sense to me she stated " I don't have time to argue with you, now I'm hanging up". I was so appalled I didn't know what to do. The fact that I'm helping someone out, giving them my money and they want to have a bogus credit card policy is ridiculous! A real policy goes around the border not just one way! And we not gone even talk about the harassing phone calls Jesus fix it!
