Cool Haitian American restaurant. The food was good. Friday night they had a performer. Take out is fast. When I dined in with a large party it took a while to get my food.

The seafood platter was cold. It took too long to seat our party of 20 even if we had a reservation. The seating arrangements were a disaster. The short waitress with the big forehead had a bad attitude. The music saved the night. I love Kompas.

Very spacious, plenty of parking space outside.Good for private events ,the owner is very nice, she knows how to make customers feel at home. Although the staff is very friendly, still have some room for improvement in the delivery of service. Food is not bad, I particularly like the acra.

This was my first time trying this restaurant and it will be my last time.I ordered the boulette and it was horrible. They look like they fried in weeks old oil. Since I was starving, I could only eat 2 out of 5. I could not in good conscience eat the rest and not be worried about my health. The plantains were the same.

My favorite part about this place is the music. If you love good Haitian music this is the place to go. The food however came to us really late. We waited a whole 1 hr before we finally got our meals. There were also ALOT of people hosting multiple events and they were short handed. They need more servers to handle the load of customers.

I took someone here today to pick up food. I watched the person open their plate and there was a piece of the meat had been bitten off. On top of that there was a big fly that flew out of the bag when she opened it up. That is the nastiest thing I have ever seen. The young lady called back about the order but the lady who answered the phone, shouldn't take calls. I know its a haitian restaurant but let someone answer who can speak at least a little english...the restaurant is in Hollywood/Pembroke Pines... the phone was given to someone else (a lady) who laughed like the situation was funny. Not funny, it's unbelievable, and disgusting. But, I saw it myself. I don't know why anyone would eat here. The people call in, get told 30 minutes, then wait for another 30 minutes or more when they get there to pick it up.

The food was delicious, flavorful and aromatic. I purchased the fried turkey with beans & rice. Everything paired well with each other. The only the reason I didn't rate them 5 Stars was the front end experience with the hostess. She had a nice nasty attitude and although she asked my name in the process of taking my order. As I'm sitting waiting for my food, I hear the name Nancy being shouted but I did not respond because Nancy is far from my name. Suddenly, I hear a banging on the partition and when I look up the hostess says your order is ready. I responded "my name isn't Nancy are you sure it's my order?", she responds "yeah." And when I asked her to confirm my order details it appeared to irritate her. While people make mistakes, I wasn't bothered by the incorrect name but more so by the fact that instead of coming to get my attention, she banged on the partition until I looked up.

I love eating here and have been coming here since 2018 I’ll say for a birthday party for a friend that passed in the past. I love the feeling of being at home when I come here & the memories had in this location. Even when I just call for the lovely lunch specials I’m always greeted with great joy from Juliana every single time over the phone & when I arrive to pick up the food. She’s also a great server whenever I dine inside from time to time. I recommend all the food but always remember it’s a large portion so it’s worth the money & highly recommend their passion fruit juice & mac & cheese if it’s available.

Food is good! Ambiance ok. Service needs to be a little bit more speedy. The Acra’s are the best I have had anywhere. Griot is soft and tasty. Love the rice and beans.
