Received an offer to get some extra cash for opening a checking account. Wanted to move from another bank, so I proceeded. Had some issues legitimately trying to get online banking enrollment connected, and as a result, missed the deadline for the offer. When I called, they disagreed with me that I had issues and stated nothing could be done. No cash. When I said, 'never mind' and indicated I would just 'let it go' and close the account, I was promptly reminded that it would cost me a fee to close the account within the fist 6 months. Hmm. Not really feeling any love here. Now my money is tied up until the deposits clear, and I can get no compensation, no promotional cash, and will have to pay if I choose not to do business with them. Such a shame. I feel big banking has no soul when it comes to this kind of thing. Feels like a true, bona fide bait and switch. Left completely disillusioned.

We have banked with Regions 25+ years. All of a sudden, no local branches are open on Saturday. No notice, nothing. Guess it's time to find a bank that cares about customer convenience instead of their own.

I am married and I have my own account with Regions. My husband and I received a check from a law firm with both our names on it. Went in with my husband to deposit the check. The teller, Shirley, checked the mobile deposit bix on the back of the check and then accused me of doing it. My husband and I were treated like we were criminals, trying to do something nefarious. We never were able to get the check deposited. Will be closing my account with them. Filed a complaint with corporate, but doubt they will be held accountable.

Regions has agreed to pay $52.4 million to resolve the allegations that it violated the False Claims Act by knowingly originating and underwriting mortgage loans insured by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Federal Housing Administration (FHA) that did not meet applicable requirements. I have been waiting 210 days for a response to the letter(s) I sent Regions Bank. They treat their customers like criminals and they have ruined my perfect credit score. Look what they've done with $52.4 million dollars of our savings! Bank with Regions!

Wouldn't cash my check. Had an account there for 10 plus years but moved due to they are not helpful and are very unprofessional. However I owed a friend some money she went by to to cash the check, they held my check for like 15-20 min. then told her they couldn't cash. well it wasn't due to lack of funds in my account and i was paying them an extra $7 to just cash it. They knew the girl our business has used them for over 30 years they see her every day and they know me. They even went as far to ask what the money was for??? That was the last straw I will NEVER do business there again and will refer people not to use them I was very upset and my friend was put on the spot there in front of other people. was uncalled for I don't understand their way of banking at all.

However I owed a friend some money she went by to to cash the check, they held my check for like 15-20 min. then told her they couldn't cash. well it wasn't due to lack of funds in my account and i was paying them an extra $7 to just cash it.
