Great store, pretty well stocked, but the check out is horrible. Frequently the lines are incredibly long

This Kroger is a disappointment to the city of Fort Wayne. I HATE having to come here. And it really sucks because I love a minute away. No less than 15 min wait to checkout no matter when you come in. Rude people. Trash everywhere.

Not my favorite Kroger in Fort Wayne but you can tell the employees are trying. This isn’t the worst grocery store in the area, it is always well stocked and decently clean, but the checkout time is insane. Even if you are only going in for a few items, expect to wait in line at check out for at least 7-8 minutes at the minimum (I have waited 20 minutes+ to check out before but it was also 1 on a Sunday so what can you expect). I’m sure they’re short staffed and cannot open all the checkout lanes due to the lack of staffing, but I do not understand why their regional/distract/corporate level manager would make the executive decision to take the two single self checkouts and turn it in to one large self checkout as this just makes the check out time even more lengthy. If you can overlook this or have the patience to wait, I would recommend for the produce and bakery selection mostly.

Worst Kroger store in this whole town of Fort Wayne. Expect your check out times to be long, the people are rude, the workers are lazy and there's never enough of them, hm I wonder why! If your phone gets stolen check the box up front bc someone probably sold it there for money. Fire your whole staff and start over. Stop taking your self checkout lanes out to put one lousy check out lane that doesn't work half the time!! Get it together people come on!!

This used to be one of my favorite Krogers to go to until I ran into this little girl at the cash register named De'janielle. She has the worst attitude ever! Lil bit was on her phone the whole time she rang us up, mind you, she didn't even notice us there until my girl said "are you gonna get off the phone and help us??". Then we asked what her name was and she said "I don't have to tell you my name." Good thing it was on the receipt. I thought all Kroger employees supposed to wear name tags but I guess lil bit is special cause she's young and light skinned.

I shop for Instacart & I don't usually have problems with the Wi-Fi until recently. Every time I go in there to shop now, it takes forever because the Wi-Fi keeps going out. I literally have to walk outside & halfway down the parking lot to get it to come back on. I don't have this problem at any other Kroger stores. The employees keep trying to say it's my phone but it's not or else it would do the same at other stores. Also I don't know who the woman is that's some kind of lead or supervisor but she's so lazy that she wasted so much of my time because she doesn't want to do her job. I was there shopping on Valentine's Day & as I got up to the register, the Wi-Fi went out & I couldn't get the code they needed to scan for online pay. I had to go back out in the parking lot to get it. The cashier was super busy & kept trying to call her over to help her. I ended up having to go get her & she just wanted to argue with the cashier. The cashier told her she can help by ringing me up & the lady told her no, you can do it. The 2nd time I was there that night, I had some items in the cart & the Wi-Fi went out. I parked the cart in a lane that was closed & went & told this same lady what was going on & I have to go outside to get a signal & please don't let anyone take that cart. She said ok. I come back in & the cart is gone. I said what happened to my cart? She's like, what cart? So incredibly frustrating & she wasted so much of my time that night. She obviously doesn't care about her job but more than that, I refuse to take any more orders where I have to shop at that store because of the Wi-Fi. Please get it fixed because it's costing people time & money having to deal with it going out.

They have gas, they also have everything you would need for a cookout or just basic home shopping needs to include toilet paper paper towels bread buns donuts candy beef jerky ice cream frozen pizzas shrimp beer wine fresh fruit and pretty much anything else you can think of also their meat selection is really good. They even have a police security station located in the middle of the parking lot so you can feel safe rather it's daytime or dark and there is always someone coming out to get the carts so they're not just strung about the parking lot.

This is definitely my last-resort Kroger location due to the poor lighting, minimal number of open lanes, high number of out of stock items and the inability to find helpful store associates when you need them. But on 12/26/20 when I visited, I encountered some wonderful associates and I wanted to be sure to recognize them. Melissa, my cashier was AMAZING! I overheard her telling another associate that she'd opened an additional register just-in-case things got crazy. And things in the store were crazy busy. She was pleasant, friendly and seemed to genuinely care that there were so many customers having to wait in long lines (the majority of whom had only a handful of items). She was also diligent in responding to other associates that seemed in need of her assistance--while still being very considerate of the customers in the line that she'd opened up just for us. She was my sole motivation for providing feedback today. She was just that great. I rarely have a positive experience at this Kroger but this time was definitely the exception. In addition, the young man that was working produce this day was also exceptionally friendly. Most of the time, associates don't even acknowledge customer's presences; however, he went out of his way to greet me and to smile. I don't know if it was simply a Christmas miracle or what but It was quite a refreshing change of pace!
