10 Best grocery store in Fort Wayne, Indiana (IN) 2024

I am really enjoying ordering online for pickup. Saves me time and impulse buying, plus I don't have to get my Littles out in the cold. Wish in-store stock was better up to date as I have ordered quite a few things lately that are not in store when my order is picked, wish they had an option to ship if not in store instead of making a separate order. Pickup person was very friendly and nice. Pickup was very quick too! I will visit again. ~Amanda

While in Norfolk Indiana I had to get my shopping on at target and this is your standard big With pretty much everything you would expect. This being gay pride month target has pulled out all the stops and has a section totally dedicated to that so if you needed a gayest welcome mat you can see from the picture you can get it here. The store did seem to be a bit understaffed and she looked through the isles you can see tons of clothes were just on the floor not folded not hung up. Now this could be a sign of the Times with nobody wanting to get real jobs anymore but target should I pulled a higher standard. I would expect the sloppy clothes on the floor for someplace like Walmart because after all it is Walmart in kind of ghetto but I would not of expected it from target which I always considered a step above. The coolest thing that I did see in Walmart was this lady with the elf ears which was kind of cool and she was nice enough to let me get a picture of it and I appreciate that and I do respect her for gay pride power. The only thing that I would say about the store they really should take some more pride in cleaning their store up otherwise they’ll go the way of Kmart and Sears ~J

They seem to have everything but Oreos the last 3 times we’ve been in there. But you get quantity for a decent price. The steaks are definitely worth it too. Cause you can cut them into so many steaks and have multiple meals with them. Costco is definitely the way to go. ~Summer

Through no fault of their own, employees here were not up to the task of successfully mitigating a problem inside the store on this day. There was a bad storm in town the night before. Shoppers came from other parts of town but were meet with NO access to refrigerated or frozen items because of compressor problems at this store. All aisles and access to these sections were blocked and covered with NO EXPLANATION whatsoever on what was going on. Some employees were helping to cover things up but others were standing and doing Nothing instead of making signs or announcements of what was going on. Very disappointing ~Marlene

Apparently there is a lot of theft in this store. There are about 25 individuals working for asset protection/loss prevention. There are open products all over in the shelving, there are spider web wire on the majority of $30+ products. Things are locked up in cabinets and cases. All this is causing the shopping experience to be extended longer, spending more energy just to get normal products, not to mention being harassed and follow around the store by multiple individuals like a gang of stalkers. Every time someone enters the store THEY ARE BELING WATCHED...they also have facial recognition systems in full operation. Approximately 15 individuals are apprehended daily!!! There is a Full Time Police Officer on the property and he is kept busy. This has been confirmed first hand. ~Mitchell

My favorite place to grocery shop SE. Always clean, well organized, and the staff is very polite. Normally grocery shopping is super stressful to me, but the layout of this ALDI is so easy and you don’t have worry about forgetting anything. ~Paige

This Kroger store was clean and well organized. They have a great produce section with a lot of variety. The store is easy to navigate and they have a lot of self check outs available along with regular lines. It was an easy visit to go in and find what I needed, check out, and leave. The parking lot has several entrances. ~Cody

Not my favorite Kroger in Fort Wayne but you can tell the employees are trying. This isn’t the worst grocery store in the area, it is always well stocked and decently clean, but the checkout time is insane. Even if you are only going in for a few items, expect to wait in line at check out for at least 7-8 minutes at the minimum (I have waited 20 minutes+ to check out before but it was also 1 on a Sunday so what can you expect). I’m sure they’re short staffed and cannot open all the checkout lanes due to the lack of staffing, but I do not understand why their regional/distract/corporate level manager would make the executive decision to take the two single self checkouts and turn it in to one large self checkout as this just makes the check out time even more lengthy. If you can overlook this or have the patience to wait, I would recommend for the produce and bakery selection mostly. ~Paige

This is the worst! I am in from out of town. This place need some help. The sweet cashier had a line called the manger 3 times. then another women came up to open. Then the manger came up and went into the office. This location needs a over haul in cleaning. ~Kristen
