First I understand that everything has become more expensive but this was quite ridiculous. My truck was making a noise so I brought it in to get inspected, that initial fee is $70 which was fine. For three problems one being changing the spark plugs it was $1282. In total for the two other SMALL problems it ended up to almost $4000. It was truly ridiculous. So I called another shop and they said they would change my spark plugs for $250. Literally a $1000 difference. I even got a third opinion. In total I ended up only paying $530 compared to the original $4000. I hope other people don’t get scammed. Say whatever response but this was just crazy. Services: Vehicle safety inspection, Auto sunroof glass replacement

Meineke on West 38th St is the place to go. Prompt, courteous, knowledgeable service. They worked with me using my extended warranty, contacted the company and provided me with details on coverage, my deductible and any out of pocket I would be responsible for. I was told up front when I scheduled the appointment that it might take a few days allowing me to prepare and not suddenly be without a vehicle. Repair was done same day and only had to wait for warranty company to make payment, which Meineke kept on top of. I was kept informed of progress every step of the way. If you are using an extended warranty this W 38th St location is the place to go. Hopefully I won't need to use it again but if I do, I know where to go for quick, easy, no hassle service. Thank you W. 38th St Meineke.

Friendly experience, showed up 30 minutes early for my appointment, and was out the door 5 minutes later than my original appointment would have started. Maybe(definitely) not the least expensive full synthetic oil change, but the convenience makes up for most of that. Service: Oil change

I scheduled an appointment for a wheel alignment, and 30 minutes later, I walked out of the West 38th Street Meineke with $70 paid and no wheel alignment. They told me that they couldn't do it and they wanted to sell me struts for $1,300!!! The next day I went to a different auto repair place and was able to get the wheel alignment that I paid Meineke for and didn't receive. They even had the nerve to put on my paperwork that I declined a wheel alignment, but it was never offered to me. I wish I had seen this before I left their facility because I definitely would have pointed this out. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. Hopefully this review will help someone else avoid being taken advantage of. Smh...

$760 for 1 set of pads and 2 rotors. And had my car listed under another costumer so it cost me a day of work. I checked the price for the rotors and I can get them at advance auto parts for $60. That’s a huge markup. If I wasn’t already loosing more time I would have taken my car to another place. But I have to work. Never again and never recommend. Service: Brakes

Our car broke down. We had to have it towed. Their customer service was fantastic!! Meineke helped us out tremendously would highly recommend them. We were traveling from out of state with kids and animals. The owners wife was so kind she bought the kids Mcdonalds while we waited for our service to be completed. Thank you for your kindness and your big heart! We will never forget your hospitality 😉

We are from out of town. While driving through, our car started making a really awful noise when accelerating. This happened about 4 pm. Not wanting to drive it while it was making that noise, we stopped at the first place - a Ford dealership. They sent us away, unable to help because they were about to close and their better mechanic was out. We tried a car repair place we saw nearby. They sent us away as they were closing and moving over the weekend. The owner of that shop suggested Meineke. They weren’t closing for a while yet, and though they couldn’t work on it that day, they let us park it there overnight so they could put their ace mechanic on it the next day. It was ready by 1:30 the next afternoon, even though we didn’t have an appointment. They also saw our brakes were down to about 10%, so we agreed to what was necessary for that as well. All of that done by 1:30. So glad to have the car back and running for our drive home. Service: Brakes

I wouldn’t give this place any stars if that was an option. Let’s start with positives. I’ve been serviced at this location a few times before and most of the time have had positive experiences. The mechanics are nice, and at the time Mr. Anthony the store manager was awesome, but has been out the shop for a while. Back in September I took my car to the shop because it had been leaking coolant. Many things in system had to be fixed, so I utilized their repair loan through America’s First Finance (my bill was about $1350). After the initial “repairs” my car continued to leak coolant and then my back brakes began to screech whenever I would drive in reverse (which was not present before). Long story short, I took my car to this shop an additional 2 more times, to correct the repairs they did. All along I was patient and friendly, as I had a good relationship with the mechanics. They communicated when they had my car. I go to pick it up, still experiencing issues, and the owner Larry was working that day and was very defensive and highly unprofessional! Not once did I say they did anything wrong or blamed them for my car issues, however Larry the owner took offense to my concerns and refused to help me and called the police because I let him know that I was unsatisfied with the services. Fast forward, after talking to corporate office, they sent me to the Meineke on Keystone that had way better customer service but was still unable to successfully fix my car, they ended up recommending me to take it to the dealership. Now, 2 months later, my car is in worse condition, leaking so much that I have to replace the coolant once a week. And because Meineke is individually owned, there is not much their corporate office can do. I have to pay for a diagnostic with the dealership to provide the loan company proof my car is not fixed in order to cancel the repair loan. Keeping in mind I’ve been paying on this repair for a car that’s not fixed, and you can’t cancel it without being taking up with a creditor until you have proof the repairs are not done. 10/10 would never recommend Meineke period, this has been the worst situation ever, but I’ve also had issues with other Meineke’s as well. Please do yourself a favor as long as a man named Larry owns this particular shop. Do not give your business! Services: Brakes, General repairs & maintenance
