Cool place great furniture. The sales staff is not pushy and almost any piece can be made with almost any color or material, highly customizable. Clean and well maintained store. Was just looking around but will be back when in need. Highly recommend, prices are not cheap but it isn't highway robbery either.

We are so disappointed in our experience with Penny Mustard. Our sales associate was extremely helpful. We purchased a sectional, ottoman, leather chair, Area rug and throw pillows. We were told when we ordered, in APRIL, that delivery would be SEPTEMBER-ridiculous, but ok… Now, nearly mid October , we’ve just been told that they’re not sure that they can get the fabric for our sectional. Now they tell us? They said that they emailed in April. When I spoke to the warehouse rep I found out that she misspelled my email address. Obviously, she didn’t receive a response from me. She did not bother to follow up after not hearing back from me. Why wold I not respond when I was told that I couldn’t get my couch that matches everything else I ordered? I would recommend shopping elsewhere. You may receive your furniture!

Not gonna lie, their furniture is expensive. The manufacturers they use all have lifetime warranties on frames & springs plus around a decade of cushion warranty. We only looked at sofas so I can't speak to the warranties of other pieces. They are very proud of their craftsmanship and the fact that 90% of their items are made in the Midwest. The only non-American manufacturer we came across was from Canada. They have tons of options & our sales lady Amy was great! When she didn't immediately know the answer she went off to look it up and came back with the answer plus usually an answer adjacent to what we asked (anticipated our next question). Since their furniture is pretty much made to order it takes between 12- 24 weeks for the pieces to come in. Our current couch is on its last legs so we knew we needed to get the process started. We ordered on 8/22 & the estimated delivery is 12/28. This isn't a place for quick and cheap. This place requires planning and forethought on furniture pieces that will last for ages.

We were pleasantly surprised by the selection of quality and pricing of made in the USA furniture. Tish made the experience even better by being knowledgeable and helpful without being aggressive or pushy. She was patient with us as we changed our mind on our sofa selection several times. We will do business there again and recommend others do the same.

Our experience purchasing furniture from Penny Mustard has been great! We worked with Will to make our purchase at the Merrillville location...Will was prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and very friendly. Post purchase, we had the pleasure of getting help from Stephanie (Ordering Coordinator)...Stephanie was quick to answer the questions we had regarding our order status and she saw to it that our second delivery (for a back-ordered piece, yet to come) would be delivered at no charge. Our favorite part of the process was seeing the bedroom furniture in place on delivery day. The delivery team was on schedule and exceeded our expectations in setting up the furniture in the designated space...these guys were pros and took expert care in handling/placing our furniture. My only regret is that I wasn't home to thank them in person for their most excellent service. TL;DR: We're very pleased with our purchase(s) from Penny Mustard...we will come here first for our future furniture needs! We highly recommend you give this store a visit.

I went to Penny Mustard after shopping for living room furniture at other retailers nearby (Bob’s Furniture, Ashley Home Furniture, Value City Furniture) so that I could make a well-informed decision on buying the best furniture for my new home. The 3 things that I searched for was comfortability, aesthetics, and price which are things that I found at the other previous stores. Unfortunately, I barely found any of these things at Penny Mustard. I was candid with my sales representative, Lynn, when I walked in about what I was searching for and the pieces I liked from other stores. After I discussed my price point with her, the conversation seemed to die off then. The sales pitch was on extremely high quality but greatly lacked in comfortability as all the couches I sat on were very firm. A lot of the couches had nail heads or loose thread patterns that would not bode well with pets. There was a lot left to be desired from a visual standpoint with the stationary couches. We continued on with pleasantries until I left. The thing that bothered me the most about my visit was this vibe that potential customers get treated less than for not wanting to buy extremely expensive furniture. A lot of people don’t want to keep the same furniture for 20 years anymore nor spend thousands of dollars on a small, 2-cushion sofa. There should be letters on the exterior that says “luxury, custom-made furniture” so that people are not blind-sighted before they come in. If I knew what I know now after visiting, then I would have followed my first instinct and never went in. This store is for very specific types of customers; it really did not feel like a store for most people to patron.
