The jewelry department is a joke. The only person that knows what they are doing refuses to be on the floor to assist. She’d prefer to do it over the phone which STILL does not fix the problem. It shouldn’t be hard to turn in a piece of jewelry for repair when you have ALL the receipts that hold ALL the information needed to send it in. I have spent thousands on jewelry over the past few years and am to the point of disgust when something needs to be sent in because of what I have to deal with. DONE! You have lost ALL my business store wide. Do better!

I’m in a wheelchair and it’s hard for me to get around. But these two Hispanic ladies in the fitting room helped a lot! They did not have name tags but one had skull tattoos and one had long curly hair. One helped me push my wheelchair and the other one helped me look for a specific dress I was looking for. They were too kind!! I appreciate their help. The only reason why I won’t give a five star is because of the terrible heat in store and especially in the fitting room!

I love shopping here but the hours change makes it impossible to shop here during the week. I recall almost not being able to make a purchase in March before 8pm and now they close at 6pm. I hope the hours get extended soon.

May 2022 I have continuously been looking at the open hours for this location on the weekdays. Noticed it had changed from 6pm to 8pm; was excited but called to double check. No, open until 6pm. I miss being able to shop here after work when I need something nice quickly. Quality here is always great, but currently not very accessible. Lots of sales advertised for shoes, but I need to be able to try on. Looking forward to being able to stop in again as needed.

They now close at 6pm during the week!!!! The associate at online order pickup was very rude and unhelpful to the 90 year old lady in front of me who was there with her daughter. I ended up helping the two ladies. As he was going to pick up my online order as well as the gentleman's order who was in line in front of me he asked the guy to watch the door and tell people they were closed and make them leave the store. Unbelievable!!!! Customer service has definitely gone out the window everywhere. I will not be back ever!!!!

I came here to find clothes for my son. I walked in and they were no carts. I can't shop while holding my son. I asked the cashiers at women's clothing. They said to check the other entrances. I did- nothing. I went to the return desk in the men's department, let her know I needed a cart so I can shop. There were two behind her full of clothes that needed to be put away. She said she couldn't help. I told he we will shop elsewhere because that is not ok. On my way back out the cashiers at the front made eye contact, offered no help, and I walked out the door. I counted SIX shopping carts full of merchandise that hadn't been put away on my way out. The store was not busy. I am just appalled at the lack of customer service and lack of willingness to help. I will spend my money in places that are actually good to their customers.

I made a return on March 10, 2022 and the cashier that did the transaction was too busy talking to the other cashier and rushed me through and out so fast I didn’t even realize that she had kept My original receipt until after I got home which is over an hour away. I waited 2 weeks for my refund to post back to my original payment my debit card and nothing so I called the store (Plainfield IN) and gave them the exact date, which register it was and a time give or take 5 min and was promised it would be looked into. Nothing! A couple more weeks pass and I call again giving the same information this time to a manager whom was very nice and helpful for the most part but still now April 13,2022 I still don’t have my refund. I told them what the 2 shirts I returned were and a roundabout refund amount. Now I’ve worked retail and know you can go into a system and enter the exact date, time and location or register and piece it together. It’s not even much money I’m owed it’s the fact that it’s been ignored and pushed to the side. It’s poor management/training. Highly unprofessional.

My boyfriend bought me a necklace from JCPenny in February for Valentine’s Day. It’s fine jewelry, nothing cheap. About 3 weeks into wearing it the necklace chain breaks on me. I took this necklace into their jewelry department and Gayle was working. I had an unpleasant experience with her. I explained to her exactly what happened and that it was purchased on Valentine’s Day. She immediately asks if there is a protection plan on this item and I told her I don’t think so. And she says well there is nothing we can do if you don’t have a protection plan. Mind you I had the original box, the original tag on the box and the original tag that came on the necklace itself. And I just asked her I was just wondering if the chain could fixed, or replace the chain, or exchange it back for a new necklace. And she changes her tone with me and says If there’s no protection plan I can’t help you. I told her okay well I was just curious there’s no reason to get upset with me. And she looks at me and goes I’m not upset. And also states these chains are known for breaking that’s why you should have a protection plan. Okay well I think it’s very wrong to tell someone they are known for breaking and selling them anyways. So it’s almost like none of their jewelry is good without a protection plan because they’re faulty. Also I asked for a return policy to read and her body language and face just told me she was frustrated I asked for that. I am sad that my necklace is broken and they can’t do anything about it. It was an expensive gift from my boyfriend. And most of all I will never buy jewelry from JCPennys again as a jewelry sales rep told me “They’re known for breaking.” Save your money folks.

2 stars because my father was able to find a suit. We've been going to JCP since I was a kid, worst experience ever, men's department was bare, customer service never even acknowledged our existence. I've always liked your products, but now I'm thinking about moving on to another company.
