Family affair in Salvisa was great. Talked to the chef, Beth, and she put biscuits in her stewed tomatoes. Mind blown. She and another cook were very open to talk about the dishes. Soup beans were excellent. catfish was light and crunchy. Pleasant all around. Been mentioned a turkey Sunday supper that I will be trying soon. Biscuits in the cornbread dressing!! Excited

it should be criminal for how much they charge Horrible zero Stars everything was canned Frozen or burnt they only had five things out on the buffet flies everywhere just nastyness instant mashed potatoes King's Hawaiian buns like they went to Walmart and then just resold everything after heating it up completely waste of money service horrible didn't get checked on once after not finishing my first plate still had to pay for it and then the lady asked why she didn't get it tip for doing nothing it was a joke make Golden corral look like Gordon Ramsay

Great food but service and atmosphere were horrible. Not one employee welcomed us, smiled, asked how we were doing, do you need a refill, nothing. ... I literally left a tip as thanks for reminding me to never come back. 20 years ago this place was THE place to eat. Very sad.

Good place if you’re looking for a country cooking buffet. Their catfish is excellent.

My mother absolutely loves the selection of vegetables on the buffet as that is about all she eats nowadays. I order off the menu and always get the bacon cheeseburger, it is always great. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We make the trip from Nicholasville every other week.

Food was good but there wasn't much of it on the buffet. They really need a bigger variety.

This is the best restaurant around. Service is friendly and personable. And the food is great. To u can't go wrong with Catfish or biscuits and gravy. And the buffet has something for everyone.

We ate here as part of a large group because reservations were required. We were seated at 1:20 for the lunch buffet that was supposed to open at 1:30. No one took our drink orders for more than 10 minutes. You could not just go to the buffet, they called individual groups to come up so it was after 2:00 before we were called up. The first parts of the bar were desserts, set with random broccoli casseroles. There was some type of dressing but it was mush. For meats there was a really dry shredded turkey, sliced country ham, and some other ham in a gloopy pineapple sauce. It was all luke warm. The other sides were dehydrated mashed potates, canned grean beans that were swimming, sweet potato casserole, some type of oyster casserole, canned corn, and some mushy pre bought rolls. Everything was luke warm and really salty. The facilities are in really poor shape and need serious repair. There is no handicapped parking and the bathrooms are single occupant, not handicap accessible either. The last health inspection had a B rating. With an hour and a half total time limit from seating until you have to leave, and bland, unappealing food I have to give a hard pass from now on

If you want great home cooking, then you should definitely stop by and see these fine people. The food is always good no matter if you have the buffet or order from the menu.
