I am writing a personal review for my service advisor, Forrest. I am restoring a 1971 BMW. I came to Forrest to find the OEM tire for my vehicle - wanted a classic look. He helped me find the right tire and custom order it. When I brought my car down I had some mechanical issues - it is a 50 year old car after all. Specifically, my battery died. Forrest pulled his truck around and busted out his jumper cables to give me a jump. It didn’t work, I needed a new battery. Forrest and the guys pushed my car into the garage overnight for safe keeping and to try and get it to charge. It ended up not working and I changed the battery the next day. My alternator blew and I just moved to the area so I had no idea what mechanic to go to. I went to Emerald Auto because of the great reviews they have. I’d like to add another one! I called and asked for an estimate on the replacement of my alternator. Super cheap compared to what I’m used to! Kevin, the mechanic, was super nice and was able to fit me in the same day! I went to MB dealership and was quoted a very high price for a Transmission service that didn't include drain of the torque converter. When researching most shops don't drain the converter because its time consuming and a mess. Maxim's team easily handled this service on my 2012 Sprinter 3500. He is very knowledgeable about sprinters and knows exactly the wear points. He quickly inspected my sprinter and didn't add any fluff or extra charges. His prices are listed on his inspection sheet. The prices are fair and worth me driving 4 hours to get my van serviced with him and his team. You can stop taking your sprinter to MB, Maxim has a huge stock room of parts for his service.
