Very rude. Employees act like helping their customers is a major inconvenience. This was not a one time poor experience. Between my boyfriend and I we had at least 3 different instances. I guess I'll take my business to one of the many other auto shops in Portage. ~Sandra

Took my battery in to charge ..they took my number and didn't even call me . after an 1 and 1/2 wait ..I returned ..the crossed eyed dude said my battery was WELL BEYOND 900 and that I'm good to go ..pulled off and the immediately A RED car battery signal ...went back and told the cross eyed gentleman what happened ..he said it must be something in my car ...took it to AutoZone ..and when they plugged it ..they shook their heads saying "You're battery just needs a charge .. Advanced Auto Zone has wasted at least 3 hrs of my Sunday and I pray it returns back to them x10. Dishonest people , Racist and Condicending. AutoZone made my day better . Cashier's don't pull my basket away from me while I'm needing to get into my purse to put my wallet away in front of basket. You know who you are so treat your customer like you would want to be treated if you had a purse in your basket! Also, don't place groceries on top of my purse!!!! Blonde older lady cashier at Merrillville store always does this and I quit going through her lane. ~Annette

Takes more than 20 minutes just to speak to a human being about food. You guys are lucky your trash pizza is cheap and open late otherwise you'd have to actually compete with local shops. Truly pathetic. Get what you pay for but they never got to the part where you pay for anything. Edit: drove to a local food spot and made it back home and still haven't reached the store. Currently on hold. Forget this place. I can imagine how your employees feel if this is how you make your customers feel. ~James

I loved this Walmart. It was clean and well stocked. Every employee I engaged with was kind and courteous especially Sharron, the Walmart greeter. The entire Portage community seemed that way too. This Walmart is a great example for other Walmarts. Sam Walton would be proud. ~ChinookAdventuresRv
