10 Best convenience store in Kansas City, Kansas (KS) 2024

This place used to be a trash dump with rude staff HOWEVER since they have recently remodeled you can actually find stuff!! They also have more than one person working the register now!! ~•greentea•

If I could give less than 1 star I would!! This lady named Lisa just made us have a horrible experience with her attitude. One thing is she can give her attitude to an adult but to give a two year old her bi*** face and snarky comments. 🤬 ~Laura

I stopped in after work on a Friday. They were super busy, low stock and had one cashier with a huge line of people. Finally a second person came to help check people out, helped two and left the front. Conveniently on the way home but not for the time I spent waiting in line. The staff was friendly though. ~Kayla

If I could give negative stars I WOULD in a heart beat. 1st the store is ALWAYS MESSY...., 2nd every time I come in the store EVEN WHEN I HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE. The employees are ALWAYS seem to have a bad attitude like they don’t want to work here.... THEN GET ANOTHER JOB we as customers didn’t do anything to you. Next ENTER THIS STORE AT YOUR OWN RISK there are wet spots rain coming thru the ceiling to the point where you can hear it. I have posted pictures if you don’t believe me. The WiFi does not work in the store for the customers to use THEIR WEBSITE I have only encountered this with stories in the URBAN COMMUNITY this does not happen in the WHITE COMMUNITIES WHY IS THAT DOLLAR GENERAL????? So if the website isn’t working there’s no way for you to use the DOLLAR GENERAL COUPONS that are suppose to be in place to save people money BUT NOT IN THE URBAN COMMUNITY WHY IS THAT DOLLAR GENERAL?????? As you can see in the pictures that the store is not stocked it’s not safe and it’s not clean. I’m not going to stand by and let DOLLAR GENERAL treat my community this way and if people don’t complain or do reviews NO ONE WOULD KNOW. No one would shop in your stores some of the people in this area have no other choice. But most of us Do. I will be contacting DG CORPORATE OFFICE and file a complaint I will also be contacting the city to have them come inspect this business for its safety. ~Kimberly

I literally only go to this location to do cash back transactions or to use the atm. Today I planned to use the atm but didn’t want to wait in line, so I chose to do a cash back transaction instead. I was not greeted although a representative was near the front of the store. She watched me grab a small piece of candy and head to the checkout station. There was a message in the beginning that said, “This machine is not excepting cash,” then asked if I wanted to continue. I rung up my piece of candy and selected my cashback amount then received an error message. When the representative came to the kiosk, she just stood there and stared at the machine. I informed her that the machine did not give me my cash and her reply was, “Did you not see the sign that said it wasn’t working?” I informed her that I read the part that says it is not excepting cash, however I wasn’t aware that meant it was not giving cash either. She calls for another individual that I’m guessing is the manager. When she got there she asked the same question, “Didn’t you see that it said it wasn’t working?” She gave me cash from the register then said, “Our money machine is broke; so from now on, know that the error message means it’s not excepting or giving cash back. I suggested they put a sign up so whoever attempts to do a transaction will know. The “manager” tells me that they are not allowed to put up paper signs, although there was a paper sign up yesterday because they closed early due to a staff shortage. She walked with me to the outside part of the store to go back-and-forth telling me how to interpret their error messages in the future. Now I understand that young folks don’t generally have the type of customer service needed in a business setting, however I’ve dealt with this individual before and it wasn’t a problem. They really need to be taught how to address customers properly and accept their share of the responsibility on behalf of the company. On a more positive note…they generally keep the store pretty clean and organized. ~Erinne

Be aware I saw a mouse running in this gas station. I told the manager and they laughed at me. I’ve eaten several things that they cooked. Never again! ~Awrreon

Some days they close at 11pm sometimes 9:30 to 10:30. Very inconsistent. ~John
