5 Best oil change service in Louisville, Kentucky (KY) 2024

I bought my car used from Byerly, and paid for all the extra services. So when I needed an oil change, an alignment, and new wipers I booked an appointment. I waited at the desk for about ten minutes after my scheduled appointment before anyone bothered to ask me what I needed. Then it was another ten to twenty minutes before they got around to doing anything. I explained again what I needed, and asked about the back wiper being changed, too. I was told that would be a wait, so I said sure. Roughly three hours later, the woman that took my car back for the oil change and to look at the tires comes back to say my lug nuts were "too swollen" to be removed and required a special tool they didn't carry. Also, I would have to buy an entirely new set of lug nuts for the whole car for around $500. I said that wasn't possible at the moment, and asked for my wipers to be replaced, and the alignment. The real reason they didn't remove the lug nuts is because they used the wrong tool and stripped one, so instead of correcting their mistake, they told me a line about it was out of their hands. I showed it to a non-mechanic who was able to remove it with the tools in their personal garage in under 30 minutes. The only good thing going for them is the waiting room- it was quite comfy for the 4-5 hours I was there waiting for them to charge me for nothing. Also, the back wiper I specifically waited to have delivered and installed has already broken. Save your time and money and take your car to literally anyone else. Honest Review. Technician not personable at all, came off as condescending and as if I was bothering him. Very rushed oil change I understand a quick oil change is favorable for everyone but that was rushed and there was not even a reason for it as there was no one there when I arrived and no one there when departed.. My rear guest tire valve was not put back on, washer fluid not refilled, no light check. Sub par service. They seem knowledgeable, not focused or caring though. ~GD3-Bey

I won't say they're terrible from one experience but my first experience was terrible. I got my oil changed before making a trip to TN. My oil pressure light came on while driving the back roads of TN. I pulled over to investigate and it looked like my oil drain plug was missing. I had my car towed to the closest oil change facility where they verified that the plug was missing and my crankcase was empty. The knuckleheads at Penzoil apparently don't understand the importance of torquing the drain plug. Or maybe they were just having a bad day that day. Regardless, I'll never go back there again. WORST customer service ever! I will never return. Rushed me out didn't wait until I was done asking about my services. Told me to go over my recommended miles and that i had more miles then I did to go for my next oil change! I have the sticker. He was rude and inconvienced that I would come 30 minutes before they were closing. Don't feel like a would have received good service with the managers attitude 😒. Do BETTER! ~Dana
