Best physical fitness program in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (PA) 2024

I love it here, it’s always clean and comfortable. But I am begging you to turn the heat off or down. I’m pouring sweat before I even get going into my workout and it’s so uncomfortable. I can’t do this atmosphere the whole winter. ~Sara

Staff at the desk are so rude and nonchalant. Everytime I go in there the staff at the desk on there phones. Like don’t greet nobody, and they always have a attitude. It’s a big boy who works there who has braids who was absolutely rude. I was working out at it was 9:50 i was on the treadmill and the lights were going out i knew they were closing but I knew i had 10 minutes left he waves his hands trying to get my attention saying we closed. The sign doesn’t say 9:50 it says 10. I just want to feel comfortable and he doesn’t make me feel comfortable. Walking around with the mean mug on his face. I understand work can be stressful but you not supposed to show it to the customers. Manager either needs to replace him or tell him to be professional. ~Christian

This place is amazing! My 7 y/o and 3 y/o had a couple of private lessons with Mike Matteo, Grace, and Chris at the South Philly location. After a year of swim lessons at another facility and a summer of lots of camp swim my 7 y/o wasn’t yet able to swim a full lap. After a couple of sessions with the Fitness Alive coaches she can backstroke, freestyle, and breaststroke the length of the pool. They really know their stuff and were able to help her organize her skills for big overall improvement. My 3 y/o had only done mommy and me classes before but was entirely at ease with Grace and Chris, and also picked up a lot of skills. We’re so impressed with how much they learned in just a few visits and can’t wait to return. ~Alisa

My experience with planet fitness was a very good one. The staff was extremely friendly and engaging. I was greeted when I checked in and when I left the gym. They have a large array of free weights and exercise equipment. The gym and restrooms are very clean and tidy. I found the gym to be a non-judgment environment like they advertise. Planet fitness is a gym that I would highly recommend to my family and friends to join! ~Vincent
