17 Best grocery store in Memphis, Tennessee (TN) 2024

Inside, it looks like an older store, slightly worse for wear. This location only sells groceries. I thought I remembered this as being a regular Wal-Mart store, but things have changed since a few years ago. Looks like there might be a little seasonal merchandise here too. ~Monica

Was a bigger supercenter than many others I have been to in the past, and I have been to many. This store was sectioned off more so than most these days, which cam be good and bad. I thought the produce section was pretty decent and overall had a good variety. The stock was pretty full considering it was a day after memorial day. I thought it was pretty clean and organized, especially for being an older store. I will be back and get a few things I can't get at my local store. ~Lonnie

Are you. Serious? This can't be a real walmart. I was in the store at 7 pm and just finished a job in memphis and wanted to treat myself to a watch possibly as I do a lot. Well I sat in jewelry for 20 min before I flagged down an employee, A lady up front, and she set me straight. Here all this time I thought if the big Ole walmart was open and they had a product I could. Buy it. My bad wally. I now know you can't purchase Jewelry past 659. Yes it happened. I can't say much more. Poor showing wally poor poor showing. Yes wally one of those is worth a little over 8k. ~William

The small marketplace, right on the heart of the downtown area. My visiting time was bad. It was late in night, so the deli was closed. But they have a tiny bit of everything in that shop. Starting from frozen food to laundry items, fresh vegetables to boxed meals. The worst part is they have a terrible smell inside! I felt almost breathless because of that strong bad smell. Okay, I know that it’s not ‘Whole Foods’, but still I feel they must clean the place a bit. I might return once for the deli experience, but the readymade lunch boxes and stuff was very basic. ~Debisree

I only have a star in order to be able to give a comment; a star had to be selected. This location has gone to the dogs. It's not the employees, the few that are there, it's the unkept facility, trash on the grounds, the floors inside are filthy and the long lines are ridiculous. I go to the store in Olive Branch which is at least 25 minutes away to receive A+. I don't blame the workers because they are doing the best that they can, as I stated, there are only a handful of them. I just left the store and the young lady that was checking customers out was visibly frustrated because she was scheduled to get off at 4:30 p.m. it's nine minutes til 5:00 p.m. and she is stuck at work. There is only two lanes open and the lines are down the aisle. She stated she couldn't leave the other person with so many people to check out. Management needs to send other employees to this location or get on the registers themselves. As often as I can I will be going to Olive Branch. ~Passionflower

This Kroger is the worst I’ve ever seen. The store is dirty and poorly managed. There is so much inventory stacked in the aisles that it’s impossible to shop. Blocked aisles are not only inconvenient; they are also a fire hazard. ~Kimberly
