Rent-A-Center

This Warning comes from my personal experience with Rent A Center here are some things I wish someone would have told me before I rented: read your contract carefully, before you sign. Be absolutely certain that you understand the actual value of the item you are renting from them. Do your research, because you might end up paying 4 or 5 times what the item is worth. Make sure you you completely understand what their service obligations or lack thereof are according to the contract, because you could be paying for the item for a long time, and finally do comparison shopping, and ask for their best deal possible. You can only spend your money once, and you want to be sure you are getting the best price, terms and service available. ~Chandra

The Home Depot

I would not recommend them for flooring installations. They use the similar tactic car dealerships use in advertising. The quote came out a lot higher than we expected. The ads say that installation labor was $2.50 / sq ft but they upped it to $3.00. The ad said they would move up to six pieces of furniture free but they charge $25 per appliance. In the bathrooms, they charge one fee to remove the toilets but then charge a higher fee to reinstall them. Oh, and there was a $99 delivery fee added that was not mentioned. By the time they added all of the hidden fees, the cost of the project was around 40% higher than what we had hoped. They don’t do free measurements so we lost $35 when we had to walk away. It is the old bait and switch tactic. ~Kevin

Sport Clips Haircuts of Greenville

Not a place I would ever recommend. I took my 2.5 yr old son here for a trim. The lady cutting his hair was wonderful & patient with him. My son is still learning to like haircuts & began crying when she turned the trimmer on. I was trying to calm him & kept noticing the hair dresser behind us keep looking at us shaking her head. Obviously not tolerant of children. Our hairdresser continued to try to help me calm him & cut his hair. After a while the hairdresser behind us stopped cutting her customers hair to come tell us we had to stop the haircut. Really?? Then proceeded to escort us to the register telling us we didn’t have to pay since he didn’t get a haircut. I’m guessing she was the “manager”. Well of course I paid because our hairdresser did manage to get most of his hair cut. She acted like she just wanted us to leave. I have never been so humiliated. She pretty much kicked us out. I would never recommend this establishment especially if you have children. The “manager” is obviously not child friendly & has awful customer service. Service: Haircut ~Larissa

Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Freedom ford set my wife up with a rental using Enterprise. So ford covered a 40.00 car, a Toyota Corolla beat up, not detailed, nasty, was 45.00 a day. Roderick worked with us to drop it back down to 40.00. Now we are getting our final bill, we have not got our deposit back, now they have added another charge to my wife's card. Not a very happy experience with enterprise. Neil or Roderick owes us an explanation. ~kemo
