It's always easy dealing with this RAC team. I've contracted quite a few things with them, and had to give back some of the things too, due to financial stress out of nowhere. They are always very understanding. Great staff with fun personalities, and I'm not sure I can even pick a favorite employee there. I'd hang out with any of them, I'm sure.

This Warning comes from my personal experience with Rent A Center here are some things I wish someone would have told me before I rented: read your contract carefully, before you sign. Be absolutely certain that you understand the actual value of the item you are renting from them. Do your research, because you might end up paying 4 or 5 times what the item is worth. Make sure you you completely understand what their service obligations or lack thereof are according to the contract, because you could be paying for the item for a long time, and finally do comparison shopping, and ask for their best deal possible. You can only spend your money once, and you want to be sure you are getting the best price, terms and service available.

I want to say a lot about this place, but I refuse to stoop to that level. What I will say is this: Before you rent : Buyer beware. Check prices, carefully! Be certain that you are getting a fair price. Check warranty, service policies, and then compare it with your options.

I have been renting from rent a center every since they were located on Wesley street years back. I haven't ever had a problem with them til now. Rented a gas stove and washer and dryer set from them and have been late on payments due to hardships. The gas stove oven quit working and they suppose to have had found me another one and didn't. They wanted me to pay for something that I didn't have in my home.. Called them to let them know that I won't be able to make it in to payment on washer and dryer due to the holidays. And they threaten me to turn in my washer and dryer and that they wasn't going to receive my payment. So I had to get the GPD involved. I need answers to what I need to do cause I need ALL MY ALMOST 3,000 DOLLARS BACK.

I bought a high efficiency washer and dryer set from there and paid it off early. A few months later the washer went out so I called them and it was still under warranty but I have to make payments on the loner while mine in being worked on. They said it takes 3-4 weeks which I was fine with but it's been over 2 months and I still don't have it back and every time I call them to see what's going on with it they tell me they're going to get with the service department and call me back but no one ever calls me back. At this point it wouldn't been cheaper and quicker to just pay a repair guy to fix it.

Have always enjoyed renting through this company. They always make it easy to get whatever I need, and I never even have to leave the house to get it done. Staff is great!

I had been looking for a couch for a while since my old one was falling apart. I went to Rent-A-Center in Greenville. I had wonderful help picking out my couch. The delivery was fast and they help me set up my couch.

I had been looking for a coffee table and end tables for our guest home. I went to several different place and I didn’t find any that I like. I had one more stop to make but I saw the Rent a Center store and thought well I check to see if they have something. The salesman I dealt with was Garrett. I told him what I was looking for and and he said he had 2 different sets. He showed me the sets. I explained that I had one more store I was going check and it was on my home (30 miles). There was one set that I liked but was not the exact color I was wanting. I asked him if I purchased it could I have a refund if the other store has what I wanted. He said “Let me check” He went into the back office and then came back to counter and said “Yes, I can do that.” I purchased the item and he loaded it in my truck. I went to the other store and found the tables that I wanted. I drove back to the Rent a Center to get a refund on my credit card. Garrett was at lunch so I spoke with the Assistant Manager Jason. He told me they do not give refunds. (This item was brand new in the box. Had not been touched by anyone but Garrett in two hours). I explained to him what happened with Garrett and again he told be they do not give refunds but I could wait on Garrett to come back from lunch and discuss it with him. I waited for over 30 minutes. When Garrett arrived Jason had discussed this with him. When I approached Garrett and told him I needed my refund he said they did not give refunds. He lied! Of course I became angry because I spoke my mind. I told him and Jason to look at their cameras and they could see that Garrett lied. He told me I could call the 1-800 number and file a complaint. I left the store very angry. I was on hold for 47 minutes. I spoke with a young lady and explained everything that happened. She said she would send the complaint to the district manager and he would call me within 48 hours. That was 4 days ago. I have heard nothing. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They have absolutely no integrity. They lie just to get a sale. The worst service I have ever experienced with a company.
