Best greeting card shop in Williamsburg, Virginia (VA) 2024

Extremely frustrating interaction at the News Road Rite Aid today. Had a Rx to pick-up that was called in earlier today and had 2 drive-thru COVID tests scheduled back-to-back. Arrived a few minutes before the first appointment and waited 5 minutes before pressing the call button, we were asked to wait. Another 15 minutes passed and we pressed the call button with no answer. We then called the phone number for this location and spoke with the pharmacy tech Tony, who rudely told us it was a 2 hour wait and we should circle the building until he could print the sheet for our tests… I’m not sure what the point of scheduling the tests were if they weren’t able to accommodate. We left and will be transferring our prescriptions elsewhere, horrible experience whether they’re understaffed or not. Not what we wanted to deal with when sick with COVID and seeking confirmatory tests. ~Casey

Our two year old started to have noticeable eye discharge on a Saturday, and we were fortunate that our pediatricians office had nurses on duty. They called in a prescription for pink eye to the closest CVS to where we were starting, only to get there at 5:20pm and find that they close at 5pm Fri-Sun. I called this location and found that they close at 6pm, so we headed over and called the pediatrician’s office to see about getting the script transferred. My husband went in and said how nice and helpful the pharmacy crew was, and that they began to get the meds ready while they waited on the nurse to transfer the request. I was so appreciative. Our baby’s eyes got pretty bad, and it would have been horrible if we had to wait another day. Thanks, pharmacy!! ~Susan
