Pharmacist needs a refresher course in HIPAA because I'm pretty sure everyone next door at Target heard our conversation today. Rude, unprofessional staff except for one person (you'll know who she is) who is always super sweet.

Wow! This place! Pharmacy workers are the most lazy and disrespectful I have seen in Williamsburg. Attitude from the beginning! Integrity is zero at thus store. Avoid these place!

Extremely frustrating interaction at the News Road Rite Aid today. Had a Rx to pick-up that was called in earlier today and had 2 drive-thru COVID tests scheduled back-to-back. Arrived a few minutes before the first appointment and waited 5 minutes before pressing the call button, we were asked to wait. Another 15 minutes passed and we pressed the call button with no answer. We then called the phone number for this location and spoke with the pharmacy tech Tony, who rudely told us it was a 2 hour wait and we should circle the building until he could print the sheet for our tests… I’m not sure what the point of scheduling the tests were if they weren’t able to accommodate. We left and will be transferring our prescriptions elsewhere, horrible experience whether they’re understaffed or not. Not what we wanted to deal with when sick with COVID and seeking confirmatory tests.

The pharmacist here is great. The cvs/target across the street is very unorganized. These guys were respectful of my time and courteous thank I will be coming back.

I used to prefer rite aid and this pharmacy specifically, but we will never use this location or any other rite aid again due to the actions of the staff tonight. My one year old was very sick and we rushed straight here after leaving the urgent care to get his medicine. The pharmacy was supposed to be open, and yet the pharmacist was closing as my husband tried to get the prescription. She rudely dismissed him and refused to fill the prescription. I then spoke to the manager, who again refused to do anything, despite the fact that we had arrived before closing time. I explained the situation and all she could say was “There’s nothing I can do.” Coming back in the morning would have been a hardship for us as we live in a rural area and we are expecting a snowstorm tonight. The only staff member who treated us with compassion was the cashier. To say I am disappointed in what used to be my pharmacy of choice is an understatement. I do not recommend this pharmacy to families at all.

I went to Rite Aid for a prescription and everyone there was super friendly. It was a holiday and I was so grateful they were even open, but the staff were an added bonus. The pharmacist, when I thanked them for being open, stated that she was happy they were open because they could help people like me. Will now make this my pharmacy of choice.

This pharmacy team is by far the best I have encountered- specifically Debbie & Carrie. I have had a rough year with my health and these two ladies have literally been like family. They always call me by my first name- and I know they deal with many clients throughout the day! They even ask how I’m doing when my husband picks up my prescription. They are warm and friendly and truly make my day when I see their smiles. These ladies truly care about people- which you can’t imagine how that has made such a difference. I’m a private person who doesn’t share with really anyone when things are not going well and these ladies have been there and listened for more than a couple of my darkest moments this year. I cannot thank them enough and hope they never leave!

There are many pharmacies in this area. I highly recommend you choose a different one. I have been using them for many years due to the convenient location. I, however, am regularly amazed at their lack of service and lack of knowledge of the prescriptions they fill. Whether it's for my kids, my wife or myself, they regularly send you out with the wrong tools (syringes etc) for the medication prescribed. I finally had enough and am moving on.

Said my Rx would be ready in 30m. When I get there 45m later... it'll be ready in an hour... An hour later "it's too soon to refill", despite not understanding that my doctor approved the prescription. Everyone was rude, and after asking for an explanation, the woman working the drivethru hung up on me. On the phone now to file a complaint. Never filling at any Rite Aid again.

The pharmacy does not pay attention to refill details, nor do they communicate to the patient/ customer when there is an issue with refilling a prescription. Example: I called the automated system with my prescription number for a re-order (with one refill left). I do this every three months. So, two days later (because they have to order the drug) I call. They said the drug needed to be ordered, and it would take two to three days, so, three days later I call. They said my Doctor needed to contact insurance company for the refill to be ordered. So, I contact my Doctor. This takes a day+ for a return e-mail. He was not happy. He had done what was needed back in January 2019 and that should have lasted one year, but he re- wrote the prescription. I call Rite aid Pharmacy. They now said, they need insurance company prior approval. (???) So I call my insurance company, they stated there was no approval needed at this time, and they asked who the pharmacy was.... I gave them the phone number to News Rd, Rite Aid location. They called the pharmacy with me on the line. Said drug would be in the next day. Two days later I call Rite aid. The drug did not come in...."will be here tomorrow after 3:00 pm. So, I call two days later to be sure. The last answer from the pharmacy this morning was "they have to order it, it will be in next Monday. (?????). WTH.... Rite Aid Corporate, I sincerely hope you read this posting. Again, no communication from Rite Aid...!
