10 Best bank in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (WI) 2024

If I could give 0 stars I would. All I wanted to do was change the name on my account to my married name. Easy enough. I checked to see what I needed, site was unclear, but figured since I have my new government issued ID, all would be good! Nope, the lady behind the counter needs to see the marriage licence. WHY? Not her business. I could have changed it for other reason, none of which are their business. Government ID should be enough as they used all the legal paperwork to change my name on my ID. Mind you I waited 45 mins for them to turn me away. So I go back in on Monday to get my name changed. Now there are 4 people working and no customers and none of which can help. I told her if I have to come back I'm pulling all my money out. Looks like that's what I'm doing. I have another account through a credit union and they gladly took my ID, changed my name, gave me a new card, and all within 15 mins! BYE US Bank! ~Nicole

I been going through this bank for years. Always great friendly staff. Today not so much. The 3 lady's working today could use a class in customer service. Wasn't even towards me it was towards the old lady asking questions about her account next to me and all the girls were laughing at her and told her to get lost basically. I definitely be calling corporate to report how these lady's acted. Truly disgusting ~samantha

They always managed to provide good customer service in spite of the fact they are adjusting to new realities with COVID. If you're looking for a additional services other than what a teller can normally provide, I would suggest making an appointment. ~Christopher

They removed drive up banking which is fine by me, except the atms that have replaced tellers only work half the time! And the wait if you have to go in is insane! Update: Taco Bell drive thru at bar time is shorter then waiting in the ATM line at Chase bank. ~Karmin

Debra was working the bank by herself today and she was absolutely killing it. I just switched from Wells Fargo because of how slow they where along with bad service (Wells Fargo on62nd and greenfield) they don’t move as fast as Debra and they have 3-4 people working. Thank you for your fast prompt and kind service Debra! ~Jermie

I called to see if they would buy my brand new Never used HP monitors and computer and the guy rudely said he don’t do monitors. Went to Pawn America and no had no problems. I gave a 1 rating due to this store not being able to service people who actually live in the area. I had to go a distant just to get my needs met. I own a business and will make sure I only recommend Pawn America for my customers. Be blessed. ~Freely

Merger with Old Dominion, so far,…. Is a NIGHTMARE!!! I’ve been with Park Bank since 2004. Merger with First Midwest was seamless…however, merger with Old Dominion has been a nightmare!! I’ve been trying to login to online banking for 2 days. Been on hold today, (while I’m on vacation), for 2+ hours. Operator says she can transfer me to the branch I am most familiar with working with, BUT…. she also tells me they are not answering their phones this afternoon!! It’s so nice to be on vacation and not have access to any of your money!!!!!!! ~Tamara

Closed inside of branch over pandemic paranoia, while Wells Fargo, Chase and BMO remain open. They claim it’s for safety but we all know it’s to cut costs. Stick with the big banks who are here to lend and keep our community going. ~Reservist

ATM only, and narrow access (think concrete vs.auto paint - see pic) at back, hidden from busy street. OK during broad daylight, but I would avoid this place if alone or at night. ~Jonathan
