Although I found the store associates to be very courteous and helpful, their repair shop leaves much room for improvement. I requested a ring be resized and an arthritis clasp be installed. The ring was sent away to the shop, with a promise I would get a call on price and time frame. After not being called for a week, I called and was informed of a date 2 weeks later. The shop did not inform me the part was on back order, and therefore won’t be finished on promised date. 1 month later, and it won’t be ready for 2 more weeks. On a positive note, the manager has offered a discount for the hassle. I would recommend buying from them, but do. not get repairs done here.

My name is Germaine and I have had the BEST experience with Stormy, Maggie, Izik, and the other. Everyone there has created an environment where I can browse and comfortably ask questions no matter how many I had and I had a lot! ☺️☺️ The best thing about my experience is that I never felt pressured into buying something or settling for something that I didn’t want. Stormy and Maggie has gone able and beyond to make sure that my choices are my own for me and I appreciate them both.

Where to start...first off, people leaving less than 5 stars, likely had an issue outside the spectrum of control of this Kay jewelers location...and I understand everyone's opinions and experiences are different, however, the staff here, especially the Manager Stormy, have got to be the most helpful and friendly team as a whole, that I've come across in as long as I can think of. On MULTIPLE occasions, Stormy has gone WAY above and beyond reasonable customer service to meet a few absurd requests of mine. Not thinking there was any way they could be met, she shocked me a few times with making it happen (far exceeding my expectations for some custom jewelry orders). She had spent a few hours total working on things for me to ensure I was 110% pleased with the product, all while having a big friendly smile on her face with no attitude or signs of annoyance, which most people would have understandably been with me by that point. My review goes far beyond those few visits though. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I go in, the staff is as friendly as can be. Don't change! I HIGHLY recommend you visit this Kay's location and please help support St. Judes with the purchase of a plush bear! More than worth it.

I have recently had a few pieces of jewelry repaired an made purchases as well. I found the staff to be very courteous and personable. They talk to you with the same amount of attention and respect if you spend alot of money or non at all but maybe ask a question, you can't beat that. Suzanne

Have heard stories of how Kay sells cheap jewelry, and that when making a big purchase to not trust them. I gave them a chance when looking for an engagement ring for my Fiancé. Worked with the Manager on what I wanted. Talked me into doing a custom ring. We looked for what we wanted, but could not find it. Talked me into looking at a set that would be close but not exact. Told me we would have to order it and would take 10 business days. Told her it was perfectly fine, as she promised to be in contact and call me when it came in. Asked if I wanted to open a Kay Card and put it on there, as I would get 0% for 12 months. Informed her that I already had a credit card with 0%, and did not want to put any money down till I saw the setting. They still tried to get me to sign up through the whole process. Was almost 3 weeks and heard nothing. I reached out and she said that it has not arrived and she would call and let me know either by the time they closed or 10AM the next day. Did not hear anything. When in the following week with a friend to look for a charm for his mothers birthday. She acted like she never worked with me in her life. I found another jewelry store that custom made the exact ring I wanted, called when they said they would, and to this day recognize me by name when I walk in. Never going to Kay's AGAIN.

The jewellery is beautiful. However the staff is extremely overly pushy. I asked to price one ring and was offered a dozen chances to open an 80$ account, even though I had clearly and repeatedly stated that I had no cash available. They also duped my grandmother into a 1500 dollar pair of earring while she tried to pay her bill. Luxurious but rudely pushy. They do not care about the customer at all. I'll shop elsewhere.

I’ve had some bad customer experiences in my life, but have to say Kay’s took the cake on this one! My wife and I wanted to have a special piece (setting) done, but they didn’t have anything in the store at that time. Told us to come back in one month on a particular day by appointment and they would have several pieces to look at from an outside vendor. One month later my wife and I took the day off and was there by the appointed time. We got there and the vendor acted like he knew nothing about us, nor was informed about us. Kay’s had painstaking written done all the details, but it seemed none of this information was translated to the vendor beforehand. However, the vendor did show us one setting and then pulled it back and said, “nope that’s not sized correctly” and walked away. Then a Kay’s representative came over and said unfortunately we don’t have anything at this time and apologized. They said they would make it right and would have a piece ordered and would call us the next Tuesday and let us know when to come back in again. I told her, “we had both taken the day off for this”, and she apologized again and said she would call next Tuesday. However, I didn’t receive any phone call on that Tuesday. I had to call them and was told they still didn’t have the piece from the new vendor. About a week later I get an email stating they can’t get the piece and they would find out why and contact me by 5:00 pm. Once again, they never reached out to me at 5:00 PM. Never heard from them. One week later I went into the store and they said they could get the piece from different vendor, but we decided at that point we couldn’t trust them anymore to do the right thing. After six weeks we decided to go elsewhere. The new place we went took care of us the same day and the piece is now being designed. Kay’s lost out on a lot of money here due to - extreme poor customer service!

Same issues with some of the people who have already left feedback on this site, their is nobody answering the phone even two hours into opening time. Pieces of jewelery that I have ordered or sent out for repairs never come back fixed correctly and never on time. Always endless excuses of why the orders have come back wrong. It is very hard to tell at this point if their is any real honesty to the mistakes that are being made. All of this is just to bad because there is one really great customer service representative who I believe is a manager at the Auburn Mall Maine location by the name Christine and she is the only reason I keep going back. Christine is the only reason I even rated this site two stars instead of one. This is extremely frustrating beyond words and I will be changing to a new local Jeweler after Kay's finally gets my orders back correctly.

Terrible customer service. I sent my ring out over a month ago. They never called. When I tried calling they picked up on the third time. She seemed disinterested and rushed me on the phone. When she found my order she hung up on me. Worst place ever. PERIOD save yourself the trouble. Don't buy from this place. This was a simple resizing. Imagine what kind of crap I'd get with something else. Pathetic.

Horrid!!! I have been a long time customer since 2000 eveything I bought jewelry wise was from this store. Granted most were cheaper items but everything has broken either once or many times. Each time things were fixed took about 2 to 3 weeks to fix and they would never call when it arrives. 4 days after promise date we would call. To check and they say " oh well it arrived 4 days ago... " thanks for letting us know.. Final straw: Bought a 6k$ wedding ring for my wife. Less than a year old and dimonds loose and falling out left and right. End up have to pay for diamonds even though they were covered. All because we miss our check up date by 2 weeks. And again we had to call to see if it was ready.. It arrived 3 days ago...Gtfo!! Furious!! Glad I'm paying stupid money on a piece of junk some poor kid slaved over. Never again will I spend another dollar here.
