UPS Store 1198 shipped a large package for me from Dixon's Auction House. The service cost me as much as the auction item. Their charge of $110 shipping was for a $120 item. The box they used was 4 times larger than necessary, which increased their packing bill, and also put the item into the "oversized" category, which increased the actual shipping charge. UPS knows what size is "oversized." To use an oversized box borders on fraudulent business practice. I routinely ship these items for less than $20.

These are the guys that ship for Dixons Auction. They have one goal in life. To rip off auction customers. First lots from Dixons I came down and picked up. Second was camera gear and they did bubble everything but they charged the heck out of me. Third lot was a single item, that I told them minimal packing a one item lot, IN ADVANCE OF them PICKING IT UP. They tried to Charge me $46 for packing (plus shipping) for this one item after they had an email from me in advance. NEVER AGAIN. I wrote to Dixons and after spending $700 with them in 2021, never heard a word. DISGUSTING stay away from both the house and from this shipper.

I saw that there were some negative reviews and I think they must have been from a previous point in time when they had a different staff. The current staff is great! In particular two of the guys that work there are speedy and always ahead of things, they usually have my printing ready usually without any wait! Always helpful when I have returns to make too. Even when it's really crowded you can tell the staff is doing their best to make everyone happy in a timely manner.

I had to make returns last week and Brittany very helpful. She walked me through the process and I was able to return my three packages. One item was very heavy and a gentleman carried it from my car to the counter. I'm sorry that I didn't get his name because he too, was pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend! Store # 1198

I needed to get a copy of my driver's license sent to Dover asap, but my computer and printer/scanner had other ideas. I headed to this UPS Store location, and Dan waited on me as soon as I walked in. For under $8 (and in less than 10 minutes), he got that copy made and sent faster than if I'd driven to Dover myself. By time I got home, I had an email saying the place had received the copy already and was processing my request. I could not be happier !!

I've been coming to this UPS Store since relocating to the eastern shore a few months ago. I honestly couldn't be more pleased. It is my favorite UPS Store by far! I ship several packages via UPS daily so I'm in there A LOT! The staff is always kind and courteous and have gone above and beyond to assist me on several occasions. Unfortunately I'm noticing that some of the negative reviews for this location are actually intended for other UPS Store locations. The Chestertown MD location, where David, Dan and Deb take care of you, is great!

I saw the low rating and thought, how bad could it be? It’s just packing and shipping, right? Wrong. Employee was rude and unhelpful. Wanted to charge me $5.50 to print a label that I had already paid for. Said he would waive the fee if I bought supplies. Which means it’s not a mandatory charge. Awful. Took my packages and left. Will NOT be going back. I would rather drive the extra 10 minutes to the next store where they are at least polite and helpful.
