So this was the first time I have ever taken a dog to a groomer. They listened to what I wanted and needed my foster dog to look like. That in itself is important. Sammy started off looking like the shaggy da to a dapper poodle.

I had a great experience taking my Maine coone mix Dio in for a bath, hygiene cut and nail trim. The grooming staff were very sensitive to the fact he was afraid and communicated about what he would allow them to do easily. When he became afraid of the hair dryer, I was called and asked if it was okay to o skip this part which I really appreciated as I’d rather him air dry than be traumatized by his experience at the groomers. It was super affordable and the staff was kind and gave great advice on future grooming.

Second time I have took my dog there that we left and she is bleeding. This is about the 5th time I have took her and until this time and last this has never happened. being my dog is a bit anxious I gave the benefit of the doubt. However it has never happened the first 3 times. No reason this should happen at all!!

Every two months I have my Standard Poodles groomed here. One of the groomers comes from the grooming school where my poodles came from. I am very happy with their grooming services. - Jon

Terrible left dog dandruff all over my poor dog from dirty brush. My dog doesn’t even get dandruff. Do not come here, my dog still smelled after supposed wash. I don’t know if they used a waterless shampoo on his top. But my dogs belly was still unwashed!!!!

First time today I will be back. Im so grateful for a place to take my cat to get him nails trimmed, they are super quick. Before I would have to wait weeks to get into my vets. Thank you Comb and collar!

Great grooming service! My 5 year old Golden Retriever is a regular here, and she always looks and smells great after her service. We’ve tried other groomers and they just don’t do a thorough enough job. They take the time to really comb her out! Five plus stars for Comb & Collar!!

I truly wish I was able to give negative stars. Last Tuesday my parents took their very sweet, calm 10-year-old Norwegian Elkhound there and had a horrible experience. While she was there for her appointment, they received a phone call asking if she had any cuts on her? When my father arrived to pick her up, he was not charged for the grooming service. Upon brining her home fully pushing back her fur and investigating the cut further it was determined that this was a major gash down to the muscle of her leg and needed immediate attention. She ultimately ended up at the Pet ER and required 6 staples in her leg. Norwegian Elkhounds do not have their fur cut or even clipped. Aside from washing and brushing the only thing that could be use is a Thinner. We cannot come up with a scenario that was not intentional for this to have happened. Since then several scabs from obviously much smaller cuts have been found on her while petting her. I contacted the owner of Comb and Collar the day after the appointment. She accepted responsibility for the injury but claimed she had no idea how it happened. She let me know that her 17 year-old daughter had been the one to bathe her and that possibly it was from a comb? She admitted that she is a calm dog and gave them no problems, she has been groomed her entire life, but this was her first and last visit to Comb and Collar. The owner did pay the bill for her visit to the Pet ER which of course is appreciated but in no way makes this situation ok. I am not a fan of bashing any business and debated even posting anything however after now finding additional scabs indicating additional mishandling. Since posting this on a community page. I have found out that the 17 year old who did this thinks it’s funny. I have been contacted by 2 people who have witnessed her abusing dogs and several others who have had terrible experiences requiring vet attention for various injuries that happened to their dogs while in Collar and Combs care.
