I ended up having a freak accident on the expressway not too long ago. I called everywhere within a 100 mile radius and no one had anything available. I ended up getting in touch with Jerry at Hertz @ the Saginaw airport! He was a heaven sent! Helped me quickly and efficiently over the phone- said he would stay open to wait for me knowing that I was on my way! He was beyond kind, helpful, and considerate to me and my feelings considering what I just had been through! Made things so easy for me that I wanted to tell Jerry he just made a new best friend! Thanks Jerry for your superb customer service and Hertz for the rental!

We are writing this review NOT because we rented a car with Hertz, but because of the superior customer service that was shown to us by Gail a Hertz employee. In the beginning of September we were at Freeland Michigan Airport with my elderly Mother In-law trying to locate Alamo car rental. Gail who works for Hertz graciously had us follow her to the location rather than give us directions. Then after we got the car rented Gail walked over to help after witnessing my Mother Inlaw struggling with some of the buttons in the car. She spent as much time as my Mother Inlaw needed to feel comfortable. Considering we were not even Hertz customers that was above and beyond unbelievable! Alamo didn't even ask or offer any help. Hertz you just gained lifetime customers because of one person's amazing and thoughtful actions. Thank you Gail!!

We rented an SUV from Hertz to take on a family vacation. We drove the vehicle about 10 miles to our home, packed it, locked it and went to bed early so we could be prepared for our early morning departure. We awoke the following morning at 2am and hit the road. Shortly after we got on the interstate (roughly 5 miles from home), the car broke down. The screen behind the steering wheel said "total loss of power" or something similar. We we stuck on the side of the road right next to the solid white line because there was a barricade keeping us from landing further from traffic. After waiting on hold with Hertz roadside assistance for over 20 minutes, I called 911 to get some lights behind us because we were on a curve in the road and the speed limit is 75 and it's 2am when drunks are out. Thankfully, the 911 dispatcher also sent a tow truck because we ended up waiting over an hour for Hertz Roadside Assistance to answer. Just as the tow truck driver was about to get us off the road, the Hertz lady said not to have them tow it. We would have to leave the car there and they would have it towed later. Meanwhile we would have to wait until the following morning at 8am to get a new car. I told her she's crazy and that we're having the car towed to a nearby hotel and going to unload it and take our personal vehicle instead. That's just what we did. When we returned from vacation, we called Hertz and after some hold time, the kind gentleman returned to tell us they would refund all but $200 of the bill. It was pretty laughable. We put less than 20 miles on the car before it broke down and had to pay for a tow because Hertz was going to leave us on the side of the road for who knows how long waiting to get rear ended at 75 mph. After some pushback, we were told we'll get all of our money back for the rental, but you can bet we'll never recommend Hertz to anyone.

This place is a joke. First the car was not clean at all. COVID or not. No sticker on the door to say it was clean per he company web. So, we had to buy extra clean supplies to get oil or lotion off the backseat. And something to cover the smell of weed in the car. This smell lasted 7 of a 9 day trip. Customer service rep at the location said he could put in for a $100 refund. But we had to talk to we call Hertz customer service two different times. Waited on the phone for 45 mins each time. Once we were able to talk to a manager. They were not any help and said they could not do anything but give a $100 voucher for the next rental. We have been waiting three months for the voucher. Sounds like everything they promises are lies. I would give them a zero if I didn’t have to pick one to give a review. Renters beware of this company and the MBS location.

Set up a reservation as it was the cheapest one way, got a call today, the day I was suppose to pick up my rental. Brittany says they have no cars and she'll call back when one gets in. She calls back hours later and still no cars. She tells me she should get cars between 3 and 5.... they close at 5. No car, no call for an update. I know there are other hertz places around, why couldn't they send a car from them to the location I'm picking up from? I'm about to cancel my reservation.

We had attempted to call multiple times with no answer but from a call center that could not help with what we needed. Then they ended up not being able to bring us our car, so we had to figure out a way to pick it up. Then the car we reserved wasn't available so they "upgraded" us to a luxury SUV. Wasn't very luxurious and took a lot more gas than the car we reserved. Didn't tell us ahead of time they put an additional hold on your credit card so we didn't have enough room on our card and had to use another one and switch the whole reservation around. They were very nice and helpful when we actually picked up the vehicle though.

Absolutely terrible service. We arrived at Hertz with a confirmed reservation for a car only to be told they didn't have any vehicle for us at all. (We confirmed our reservation via phonecall and internet.) The Hertz representative was non-apologetic, had her foot on the desk, and sent us on our way. Absurd.

I applied here for a transporter job. Did it from online. I received a email to fill out the application online. Once I did, I went through a background check and the status said I was being considered for the position. Once after the interview, I made a call to ask why i hadn't been contacted by the recruiter, the person speaking on the phone spoke very rudely to me. Business wise I've heard their good. But the manager ended up showing up a few minutes late to the interview which I waited for. If there's anything I think that there is important to a business it's honesty and professionalism. The fact I went to an interview and the manager didn't show up right away and I had to wait wasn't very nice. Just as it's the recruiters job to also be honest with the candidate. Why it would tell me on their site that I'm being considered for a position is beyond me.

The experience was a smooth process with GREAT Customer Service provided by the entire team lead by Branch Mgr Samuel Willis. My experience was so relaxing and stress free as it should be, even down to extending my rental over the phone by calling the Freeland Airport Hertz counter directly. Definitely worth the drive there for the ease and customer service. I do recommend that people pay attention to their hours as many airports have gotten away from 24 hr rental accommodations. Many rental companies now close at either 11pm/12 midnight with a shorter day during the week. Freeland Int’l Airport Hertz ~ hours are 12 to 5:30 for those coming in on a Saturday, so please be advised to check their times.

The administrative process was excellent. The car was waiting for me when I've gotten off the plane. Return flight was on Saturday morning and there weren't anybody at the office and I followed the instruction of filling out the form and drop off the key in the locked container. Traveling with a disabled spouse, I had to take care of several luggages and bags. In the process, I left a bag in the locked rentalcar. Called the phone number given for emergency, I was not able to contact for the Hertz to have someone come out and unlock the car so I can proceed with the regularly scheduled flight. I ended up one day delay to retrieve the bag and miss the flight. I had to reschedule the flight for the next day. Would have been nice if I didn't lock the bag in the locked rental car but sure could have been much better if there was an emergency contact who could have come and helped me out.
