Customer service is horrible! called in to place order and rt away was told "YOU ARE AWARE YOU CAN PLACE ORDER ONLINE RT". Yes i am but if i prefer to call it in why not take the order and just tell customer at the end that they can also place a order online if they wished to for future. And not to say that for the last 2 years!! they have had me wear the WORNG contact prescription until my last check up the doctor told me i had 2 different prescriptions not the same for both eyes! These employees needs be trained better and be nicer to customers!!

We decided to get our eye exams done at America's Best in Grandville, Mi, and ordered our glasses online through a different retailer. America's Best botched my prescription due to employee error. Already used up my guarantee from the online retailer because who would think they'd mess up a prescription? Was offered a 50% off code for new frames from America's Best. I went in to the store yesterday, June 6th and waited for 30 minutes without being helped. One employee was even eating and conversing with another. Proceded to call corporate and explain my situation, and the person I spoke with seemed to not care about my problem. I was told to go to a completely different store to order my glasses, as if I should've known this? $50 for an eye exam is a great price, but I'd pay double that amount to know that I was being treated the right way. This store/corporate experience has ended my business with America's Best. Do not go here if you value customer experience.

The service was amazing Travis and Sarah both helped and explained what was happening while Sarah helped me find the perfect glasses that fit me when we asked . I 100% recommend going there to find the perfect glasses or contacts they are all really kind even when you are not understanding.

I don’t know if I will be able to express how wonderful the service I received. My son and I were able to use the generous voucher offered to those in need (free exam and free pair of glasses). If you have ever been “in need” for glasses for your child and self, but can’t even get them for them (Life, ya it’s like that) the stigma attached with being “in need” seems palpable. This was the exact opposite! Thank u to Sarah and Ida for this stigmatic feeling nonexistent. Not only was there friendly service, I felt that (especially Sarah) was going out of her way, with grace and ease. My son got to pick out his first pair of glasses and the same for me the next day. I hope that Sarah and Ida continue to receive “warm fuzzies” from other customers, like myself. I have no doubt they will. Thanks again !

I took my mom to the location in Grandville to get some new glasses. The receptionist and ladies who helped with the glasses selection etc were friendly. The actual eye dr was not... and the girl who conducted the "pre tests" before seeing the dr. came off as rude. She acted as though we were inconveniencing her.. my mom is disabled and has a hard time walking and is also hard of hearing, I help to make sure shes stable, etc.... the woman acted as though she was annoyed with my mom taking longer to respond or move. At one point she even rolled her eyes. Once we saw the dr he wasnt much friendlier either. We ended up purchasing glasses anyways because she needed them and has a hard time getting out. Like I said the ladies helping with glasses selection were nice. This location needs to work on hiring friendlier people with better professionalism and empathy. We will not be returning.

Three letters - IDA. She was phenomenal. I accompanied my boyfriend for a pair of new glasses, and ironically a week later I broke my glasses and chose to go to Americas Best - knowing that I would be paying a bit more than going to Costco, but knowing that our interaction with Ida was so pleasant, we were hoping to see her for my new pair of glasses. She was there and she remembered us :) thank you for a great experience!

After purchasing two pairs of glasses at a Florida store and receiving them in the mail, I was not looking forward to going in locally to get adjustments made. I guess I anticipated lots of questions about where I purchased them and why they were not working for me...... so happy I was wrong:) I was greeted at the door by Sarah who asked how she could help me and immediately set to work on what I needed done. Her friendly expertise made my experience quick and easy. I highly recommend the Grandville America’s Best for a good selection of eye wear with friendly service.

I saw 4 people in the Grandville MI office for my eye exam on Feb 25, 2021. Only one person called me by name and that was the receptionist who was very professional and friendly. The other 3 people including the Doctor who did my exam acted like they were doing me a favor by waiting on me. They were not friendly at all. They acted like they were in a real hurry and just did not have time for me. They could have cared less if I was there or not. There were only a couple other people in the place. They pressured me to find a frame quick although I didn't like any of their frames, I did not just get my prescription and go somewhere else which I should have. I wanted my lens put in the frame I had and they said it couldn't be done. So I finally settled for a metal frame at a cost of $179. As I was paying for my glasses the lady reminded me to "write today's date down because the insurance that was added to my bill was only good for a year and I needed to bring my glasses back before that time to probably have them replaced because the coating would probably be scratched by then. So many red flags.....

Absolutely horrible! They prescribed me glasses that I can't see through clearly. I called with my concerns, she said she'd call back. I never heard back from her. (I bet if I had a balance on my bill, they'd be calling.) I see better with my $5 flea market glasses. Time to find an independent optometrist who will care more about their patients.
