I was harassed by staff using a live link to the city. They told me to call a previous customer who called a couple days earlier . They said I changed a part and he had a warranty . I talked with the customer and explained he only has a one year parts warranty which expired 4 years ago . I was threatened and told by the city man that I would not be able to have a business anymore. This is outrageous and unlawful .They had no lock on my phones. This is a serious violation of the law

Not a super clean gym. But my biggest peeve is the loud music in equipment area. No one wants to hear random loud music when working out. People have their own music. I need to turn my headphones up all the way to drown out their music. Also they don’t keep the class schedules up to date on their calendar. For example on Memorial Day the gym was actually closed most of the day but the app still said classes were running so wasted my time driving there for no reason. The redeeming feature is Jill the Zumba instructor. Her class is great.

A great all around gym. Not too specialized and has what you need no matter what workout you are trying to accomplish. Super helpful and amazing staff. I just found my new gym for sure.

I love this location for being clean and neat, also I love going there for the zumba class specifically with Mrs. Jill. Mrs. Jill is the BEST I recommend trying her zumba class so much fun.

I signed for 6 months with the trainer and I traveled and they keep taking money out of my account for a couple more than 6 months they took about 700 bucks out of my account for no reason ..!!

Absolutely disgusting facility. Attached is a picture of the sauna. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. I quesiton if the staff cleans anything is this location. The staff seems nice but when this was brought to their attention they just looked at me, like what are we supposed to do..... I understand everyone is short staffed but this is can't be healthy.

Baskebtall Courts are always slippery. They let everybody in for free. No soaps in the bathrooms. Spoke to them about the slippery courts said they can’t do anything about it. I have had numerous problems with the courts because they let a bunch of minors in. Never coming to this Gym ever again. Or signing up. Also something is suspect about these intial fees. I think they’re getting people and over charging them. I’ve seen a lot fraud come through this gym.

Not the most honest place. I forgot my earbuds at the sterling heights location and I didn't realize it till I got to work so I called them to check and it turns out a member found them in turned themin to the front desk so I asked them to put the them up till I get off of work and I would pick them up then but when I got thr they magically disappeared the worker couldn't find them so they asked me to call back and talk to the manager because he was gone by the time I got thr. They basically gave me the run around for a week before telling my thr is nothing they can do thr just gone .I was gonna call corporate but one day after another passed by and I just let it go. Very disappointed

Yes its clean most messes are from lazy patrons. NO ONE WEARS MASKS, (our trainer is unvaccinated and ...no mask)...on the positive we go in the morning and its seldom crowded

Got a memebership when it was an LA fitness, esporta bought them out and now the gym is cheaper. In order to get that cheaper price they are making members pay another initial on fee and they refuse to waive it even though I’ve been going to this gym for almost 2 years

The staff are always in a good mood and keep the place extremely clean. I drive out of my way, passing other gyms, just to come to this one. Great people and great equipment. Highly recommend.

Most of the tread mills have something wrong with them in one way or another, the elliptical machines are very old and need replacing. Most of their cardio machines should be replaced. The locker room here is bad, not well kept, hot, and trash around. If you can go to the Mound and Hall road one you will be much happier.

Love this location, but today IAM very disappointed. The place closes at 6 pm on Saturday. I work a lot so I went to planet fitness last night. I wish LA was open later on the weekends. Hence why I have membership at other gyms. I prefer LA but it is what it is. Fast forward to this morning. I have one question,. If you close at 6pm. Why does the men's locker room have no TP, every garbage can is overflowing, spray bottles everywhere along with trash on the floor? A 24 hour gym I would expect this. But you close early on Saturday for??? The staff can cut out and go have a life? Take care of your responsibilities 1st then go play. Still love it here just very very dissatisfied with the condition of the men's locker room this morning. It's currently 830am I think it's impossible for it to look this way this early in the day. So it was left like this last night

I’ve been going to this gym since i was 14, i’m 18 now and in those 4 years i’ve tried different gyms. From lifetime to edge to power house and so on. And none of them give me the vibe LA fitness gives me. It’s a very nice gym, always clean and the staff is great. I never once had a rude interaction, the staff was always kind and friendly. Lastly, the gym is very spacious but not too much to get lost in to. covid has changed the way the gym is, but honestly it is for the better. It’s not packed and the equipment and machines are always available. 10/10, I do not plan on leaving this gym anytime soon!

The gym itself is nice, but if you decide to cancel they make you jump through hoops. You have to print out a form & send it through the mail. Hello, this is 2020, we should be able to cancel online or over the phone. Not to mention we are in the middle of a pandemic. This company sucks.

I went there for the first time today with my friend, and we were never told any additional details on what they want us to do and not to do. We were there for only 15 minutes, using treadmills, an older man who we found out is named “Jerry” was staring at us the entire time, making us extremely uncomfortable. When we got off the treadmills, we went to go use different equipment when this “Jerry” individual began harassing us and not letting us leave. He did not work there, yet was yelling at us on what we should and should not do even though we informed him it was our first time, and we were not told any of the procedures. We were enjoying ourselves at first, but after get harassed and having a manager called on us for no reason besides using a treadmill, we’re not going back. Do not go here if you want a friendly, safe environment to work out. It is not friendly and not safe.

The gym itself is not bad at 30 dollars a month. But, me being prone to peer pressure, I inferred about personal training and next thing you know she’s running up numbers in front of me. With that being said, I was told there was a “cancellation fee” that was reasonable So if I decided after a month or two if it’s not worth it I could pay the cancellation fee and not worry about it. Well, after a month I was not satisfied and decided to cancel the training. I Find out there’s a 50% buyout and essentially there’s nothing that I can do so I had to pay the remaining amount (which was not cheap). If you’re young and want to get into fitness, I highly recommend not going to LA fitness for they will peer pressure you into signing a contract.

Consistently show they don't care if you are a member to use the basketball courts. Make no attempt to keep court clean. Ac wasn't working in gym which caused very slippery courts nobody working cares. Gym stuff works and is nice and occasionally the courts are clean and actually open which is why I felt 2 stars was needed. Wouldn't recommend this gym.

A big gym, with good range of equipments, along with swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna. They also have different classes throughout the week. But the gym is not well maintained. People don't clean the equipment after their workout, and they leave weights/dumbbells/handles around the floor everywhere. The management should do more to ask people to follow a hygienic and responsible workout while at the gym.

The aqua aerobic instructors are great, the staff in good....but lately the hot tub has been down, the pool temperature has been cool and the shower water temperature has been turned down. I asked about getting a drier (spin drier ) for swimming suits and was told that they didn't know where to put one. ( tip in the locker rooms). I gym looks nice after makeover....but in the pool area all they added were new hooks for towels. They could have deep cleaned the tile in and around the pool ( dark scum on tiles) a spin dryer for swim suits would be nice.or a old fashioned hand turned wringer like grandma had.

This is a really well layout for a guy. Nothing is so close that you feel like your right on top of other people. There is a turf area as well.

I wish I have the ability to give 0 Stars. I paid more than $100 for a month including some hidden fees. Here is the thing. I joined this Gym 3 months back. I have been using it since then, everything was going great until I saw that I have been charged $35 extra in the 3rd month. When I did an inquiry they told me that it is a initiation fees. I said Nobody told me that there will be a $35 initiation fees after three months. Cost $149 Joining fees $45 Monthly fees (Me + Guest) $35 Initiation fees after 3 months So in three months I paid total of $320 for Gym. Now, that outrageous and that's a lot of money. On the other hand Planet Fitness Charges $10 Joining fees $20 monthly fees (Me + Guest) and there is no hidden fees (Like $35 in case of LA Fitness) When I told them nobody told me about initiation fees at the time of joining and I want the refund, they refused saying it's in your contract. This Gym is a scam and it's not even worth the amount as you can see in other reviews as well Basket ball court is always crowded, same with the Swimming pool and Hot tub as well. I strongly recommend everybody not to join LA Fitness, specially this location. Staff is pushy, unfriendly and non supportive. They just want your money.

LA Fitness has a little of everything I like- cardio machines, weight machines, free weights, basketball court, pool, hot tub, showers- and kids club! It's not fancy and it's reasonably priced.
