Just a PSA for future customers, please consider getting a second opinion from other mechanic shops before letting Honest-1 touch your car! I've now had two experiences in which I've been over charged and quoted to replace parts that aren't necessary to fixing the car. Shop rate to work on a 2016 Chevy Cruze with 103,000 miles was 183$/hr and the mechanics seem to overcharge for parts. The mechanics here will also leave you feeling broke and powerless since they do not work with you to explain the problems or give you different options. They will say, "You need X done to your car and it will cost you Y". If you have no idea about engines this place will do its best to take advantage of unaware customers and make you replace things that are not necessary to the issue at hand. Did quality work on a well overdue 02 Monte Carlo wheel bearing. Took care of the worst stripped bolts I've ever seen, 2 of them. What took me hours of torching, wrenching and socket extractors they drilled them both out and charged me 1/2 labor, I was happy with it. Provided a loaner vehicle until mine was finished no additional cost which was awesome. Even sent me a full health report of my vehicle and let me decide if I wanted anything else done, they waited until they spoke with me before doing so, we discussed the price and it was the exact same when I went to pay no hidden charges. 10/10 I'll be back with any future work needed. If you have money and want to throw it out your broke down cars window. This is the place for you!!! Very nice people with just the right skills to take your money and not even look at your car!! I will be keeping my car passing this store from now on just because of how AWESOME this place really is!!! Took our Car in and they recommended a belt repair and transmission flush. After the repair, Drove off the lot same day and the car broke down same day within an hour. Broke down on a very busy street dangerous for me and my kids. They did tow it back and said the transmission needed to be replaced. The belt replaced initially was a few hundred dollars but the new repair they quoted for the transmission 6,000.00. We went to a different mechanic and they said they should of never did the transmission flush and the new mechanic replaced the transmission for 5000.00. Service: Transmission

My car would start without jump. So I dropped it off and asked for diagnosis. When I got it back it worked. Drove home and then nothing. No power. They have friendly staff and the diagnosis process is pretty cool. Wrong diagnosis and and changed the wrong part. You decide. Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I came in with what I thought was an alternator problem, which they tested for, and discovered a problem with the battery. They replaced it and did a few other maintenance things for me. Everyone I dealt with was courteous and friendly! They helped me get a tow, financing, and even allowed my sister to yell at them when I took it and found that the check engine light was still on and it’s under the hood fan would run continuously after shutting it off. (They fixed it immediately and according to her, it was a simple last step of clearing out the codes.) The only reason for the four stars is the fact that it stressed me out thinking my car was “broken” after the fix! But they handled it well and treated me and my sister professionally. I only bring and will only bring all my vehicles to honest-1. They have the best customer service, Chris makes each experience smooth and efficient. He is honestly always willing to go above and beyond for all his customers. I wait in the lobby most time when bring my car in and he treats every customer (new or frequent) all the same and all part of the honest family. I have done everything from oil change to a full engine tune up. Isaac is usually the technician that works on my car, he also goes above and beyond, and he is super helpful. Went there cuz I needed an inspection before my warranty ran out. I called first and got an appointment very next day. Chris was on top of it the moment I walked in got me checked in send my car off with the one of the service guys he came back 35 minutes later with this report Chris proceeded to call the warranty company discuss with them whether or not the ball joints would be covered. They were of course but even managed to get the wheel alignment covered. I ask for and was given a loaner which was hassle free not only the process of getting it but the car itself. They had my vehicle done by that evening by 4:00 p.m. and I am not had a problem with it since. it was a nice surprise in the morning to get a message from them reminding me that I had an appointment in an hour. Wasn't expecting that but there it was a nice surprise. Now but I've had worked on there I'm not surprised that they do that courtesy call. I can't think of another repair shop and I've been in that has felt more welcoming. I checked the box earlier professional instead of good quality and good service because being professional in that business encompasses good quality and good service and that's what these guys have professional all the way.
