The following complaint was written as a review on their website that states it will be posted in 24 hours - 3 weeks later and it has not been posted yet! We have 4 Octane Ro machines that have very LIGHT usage. It is an extremely poor built machine that we have had nothing but problems with. Customer service reps have informed us that it was made with a battery that is not powerful enough to power the machine. Therefore the screen doesn’t turn on. They released a software patch that dims the screen (to save power), which means you can not see the display clearly. It also means that when you pause for a few seconds the console resets instead of starting up where you left off. So the fix does not actually solve the issue – it just creates others. The machines were down for several months. True Fitness [who bought Octane] said that it was due to a shortage of parts – I am not sure how this is a consumer problem? We have a product that is in warranty and it needs to be fixed. Eventually, several months later after MANY service-calls the product was fixed (again, with the other issues from the patch). The product also has a problem with the footplates. There are plastic moldings that hold the foot plate in place that keep snapping off meaning that the foot plate can’t hold your feet making the unit unusable. They say there is a long back log and we can’t get them in. Again, meaning we can’t use our Octane product for WEEKS on end. We have just lost 4 plates in 4 days!! On top of the 4 other plates we have already replaced. The product was clearly released without testing.

Among the very best customer service support I’ve encountered! My old TRUE 500 HRC would not work, displaying various error messages, when I pulled it out of storage after a long military deployment. I love the machine and was determined to get it working again. After spending a great deal of time - in addition to money on eBay replacement parts and supposed online repair advice - I eventually linked up with JR and Joe Chirchirillo at TRUE Fitness. They were great! They were very responsive to my calls and emails - eventually walking me through a series of diagnostic tests and simple repairs that got my treadmill working again! Joe is outstanding at trouble shooting - impressively knowledgeable, patient and easy to understand. I am very grateful to TRUE Fitness for my treadmill and the outstanding customer centered support provide by JR and Joe. It was absolutely clear that they cared about me and getting my TRUE 500 working again!

I knew there was a reason why we purchased our True Fitness PS700 treadmill over 10 years ago... Its been sitting in the garage for some time after the move...lost some parts and had to buy them to get it up and running.. but had to re-calibrate to get it to work...within 15 mins Joe Chirchirillo helped me get that baby running like it was new! This company understand what customer service means and we will continue to buy their products. Thanks again Joe and team!

When the treadmill works, it good. But it breaks down all the time. I must have gotten a lemon. It’s in the computer. There is a fault all the time. In order to get it fixed, a tech guy has to come by and charge $150 and then it will work for another 40 hours and then it craps out again. I’m done with it. I have shut it off and will just walk on the street. Anybody want a treadmill, I’ll give it away.

Very disappointed in My True Fitness es900 treadmill. A cheap piece of plastic broke on the back of the 15 inch display. I was told they do not have a replacement part and I would need to purchase a new $2000 display. Totally ridiculous.

Most impressive support you will ever find — about 2 years ago, while under warranty, I had a small issue. I called support and reached Joe Chirchirillo. His troubleshooting skills were amazing. He took the time to help me and solve my problem. The most impressive part of this story is that I contacted Joe again a few days ago for an out of warranty issue (a part that I broke while moving the treadmill) and Joe remembered me and helped me right away. Wow! how impressive is that. Kudos to the company for having long term employees that really care about their customers. It’s people like Joe that make a company great. My experience has been great and if I every need another piece of exercise equipment, I will look at TrueFitness first. Joe — thank you for being customer focused, for having the patients to work with people, and being a technical genius.

I’m extremely disappointed in the quality of my True treadmill. According to the True service department these machines will not last with light usage; however, I have had two motors fail in my treadmill - each with different usage patterns. The first motor failed within the first year when the treadmill was used as a primary means of cardio. The second motor only had very light usage over the span of the next decade as I was on a basketball league and only used it to supplement my cardio. After roughly 100 hours/400 miles the second motor failed. The service department considered this to have ‘performed very well’. If I had known 400 miles was high performance I would not have spent over $4000 on this product. Even more disappointing than the failure of the product was the way the True service department handled it. If you are out of warranty, don’t expect them to care about the quality of their product.

Great experience with my treadmill (9 years old and i just had my first minor issue), and customer service. Joe Chirchirillo went way above and beyond the call of duty. He was very quick with answers to all of my questions, even on a saturday morning. I highly recommend the product and the care the True team takes in helping the customer. - Kevin

I called today and was trying to replace a power cord on my treadmill. I was amazed when the customer service representative, Joe told me to hang up and he would help me on FaceTime. It took 3 minutes and he got me back to the starting point ( which I should have taken a picture of before I started ) This was unbelievable customer service and something you don’t see very often these days! Thank you Joe and True Fitness

I purchased an older unit, used, and contacted True customer support after an issue cropped up. Joe and Michelle walked me through some basic diagnostics, helped me order the parts I needed and even sent me instructions regarding installation and calibration of the new parts. Highly recommended - I'm a "True Believer" (pun intended)
