They closed our business account while we were traveling out the country. All the transactions on those days were gone without anyreason. It was thousand dollars. They won’t do anything unless we open a new account with them. I would never ever work with them again. I did a big mistake when choose Bank of the West over First National Bank. They loose my business. Now I have to try get all my money back in 1 day, otherwise, all those money will give back to the customers. Also, the manager is even worse. They are nice to you when you are new to them, they won’t help you if anything happens. All they tell is ‘I can not do anything right now’. Worst customer service ever ever. I won’t recommend any business to Bank of the West.

I've called The Bank of the West Customer Service line for loan servicing 14 times in two weeks. They do not allow you to leave a message, just state "higher than normal call volume call us another time." Finally got someone on the line yesterday, she could not help me, I needed to get a document for her first, I asked for a direct phone number so I don't need to wait another two or three weeks to get through. No, we don't have that. This is pretty low, really really low level of customer service, for a client they made a decent return on their loan. Be warned

I needed to get a document from the courthouse notarized, and Bank of the West refused to notarize the document because I didn't have an account with them. Keep in mind, the place was completely empty and their notary wasn't occupied. But, policy is policy. I'm new to Omaha, so I figured I would open up an account real quick. After all, I had $150 cash with me, ready to deposit. Their manager refused my business stating "it doesn't work like that." The nearby Wells Fargo notarized the document free of charge, no questions asked. I will NEVER bank at Bank of the West. They refused my business. I guess my $150 wasn't green enough??

Manager Joe makes you feel welcome when you open a account but after your account is open it's all down hill from there. Tried imbassing me in front of customers and wasn't operating at a professional leval.very displeased with this bank. This bank has that wells Fargo feel

Tried to pay an extra $2k on my mortgage principal. Because of the timing of it they charged me $35. Unbelievable. App is poorly designed, lacks account details, and Customer Service doesn’t help. Really frustrated trying to work with them. Get your mortgage elsewhere.

Was a higher rating until just recently. They issued the new chip cards and I used it for the first time to pick up $5 of stuff from Baker's and went to the check out as normal. Well apparently using the new chip card seems to turn the checkout method into an ATM terminal. Was charged $7.50 for a balance inquiry, cash withdrawal, and transfer. None of these three transactions occurred when paying for my items. When I contacted customer service I was pretty much told I was S.O.L. Find a bank that doesn't utilize these new chip cards yet or you'll be paying $30 more a month if you shop for groceries once a week.
