Just like all the bad comments on this company i will tell you the worst experience in my life they stole furniture, they told me I had to pay cash before they would go back and get the rest of my furniture. The took off with my money and left my other furniture on the lawn. Plus they use other company names but the address is the same 57 midland ave. elmwood park Please dont

Don’t use this company. They are the worst of worst. They damaged my stuff, overcharged me by $1000. They will give you a lower upfront estimate and on the day of the move, they will tell you their credit card machine is not working, they will only take cash and will refuse to offload your stuff until you pay them. Here is the full story of my experience with them. I took them to the court and won the case but trust me you don’t want to go through that so avoid them at all cost. On the day of the move, classic showed up late and also with a small truck. They couldn’t fit all the stuff in the truck. They tied my mattress outside of the truck and left quite a lot of stuff behind. This is after I had packed two cars with boxes/stuff but their small truck still couldn’t hold everything. I had to make multiple trips later to pick up the stuff left behind. Please note, I had packed almost everything already in the boxes. Classic relocation despite getting paid all their demanded amount did not deliver the services as promised. They overcharged me by almost $1000, held my stuff hostage, harassed us and their owner threatened to come to my place and harm me and my family. Movers also stalled in between and wasted about 2 hours of time sitting and doing nothing. I called the cops on them for holding my stuff hostage. While the cops were still at the location, their owner (Anthony) called me again and this time acting very nicely and told me that please come into my office next day and we will refund you any overage charges. Previously, Anthony had refused to even speak to me professionally. Please note up until the move date, I had spoken to John and all of a sudden he became unavailable to speak on the move date. Anthony pretended that his employee (Chris) wasn’t listening to him, apologized, and assured that they will make amends. However, soon after the cops left, movers left all the remaining stuff in the garage. I called their owner (Anthony) again and this time he did a 360 again. He was furious that I had called the cops, said racist things and threatened that he would harm my family. Classic relocation also never unloaded some of my furniture, damaged certain items and left many items un-assembled. I wish I had read the reviews earlier because many other reviews shared similar experiences. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs.

If I could give a -5 I would. This company made my move into my first home hell. I scheduled a move on my expected closing date but it was not a date set in stone yet which I informed the company of. I had to cancel the date because we did not close on time. I waited until we were sure of the closing date to call back so I wouldnt have to continue rescheduling. I asked for the move to be scheduled on a Friday. I did not have my calendar open and the person I spoke to mentioned a date I said whatever date the Friday falls on is when I want the move done. Well Friday comes around, we woke up at 4am to rearrange boxes and continue packing so everything would be ready for the movers at 10am. They scheduled our move for Saturday! They apologized and said they would be able to squeeze us in at 12pm. 1pm comes around and nothing. I call back and was told the workers were finishing up a job they would be by us in an hour. Two hours later and no call. I call back and was told they could have four guys at our house by 5:30! At this rate we had wasted all day waiting for the movers! We were smart and rented a uhaul truck to atleast start loading up with personal items as we just needed the movers for heavy items. We were so upset I asked to just cancel our move and we decided to make the move ourselves. We had been patient a day and and as nice as possible. We were offered to be "compensated" for the mixup I still declined. Then we received a call from the owner telling us the movers were on the way and implying the mixup of the scheduled move date was my fault for rescheduling so much( I canceled once!). I expressed their service was terrible I was frustrated and no longer believed their price was fair for what we had been going through all day. This happened to tick him off as they gave us a groupon discount and he went off saying this is why he doesnt like doing groupons because customers call back and make stupid comments like I just did. At this point I sent him to hell and let him know his workers can go home and enjoy the weekend. Thanks to this company we didnt finish our move until Friday at 8:30am. I have never experienced such terrible service in my life on top of being called stupid! I would never recommend or use this company!

BEWARE THESE MOVERS ARE SCAM ARTISTS This company also operates under the name Excel Carriers which is also run by Anthony and John. I also had the experience where they came with a small truck instead of a normal one. They had to do 2 shifts and refused to unload the second shift unless I went to the bank and got them additional cash! Please know that if a mover does this to you, call the Police immediately. The workers took a looooong lunch break and left their garbage everywhere. They also broke a few of my belongings and even came back to pick up a wardrobe they broke as they claimed they would get it fixed. However, the move was in May of 2017 and I have yet to get my wardrobe back. Anthony and John both ignore my emails.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are scam artist. Quoted and had us sign a binding contract for $1845 before loading our belonging on their truck. Then after loading the truck demanded we pay them $2775. This is literally highway robbery. They know once your belonging on are the truck you can’t back out. BUYER BEWARE THEY ARE FRAUDS.

My move on June 12th was horrendous. We had two trucks and were told the move would take place 9 - 10 AM. We packed some items, but hired them to pack others. They assured us that they would be careful and respectful of our items. They also said that whatever THEY pack, they'd UNPACK! They got to the place we were moving at noon and then decided it was too late to continue onto the 2nd truck unless we paid an additional $1200!!!!!!! Can you believe they held our truck hostage? After negotiation, they just put boxes in the garage and in placed where they didn't belong even though they were CLEARLY MARKED! I've posted before about damaged items, and hostile personal. Six weeks later I'm still looking for items...what they packed they didn't mark and threw into boxes!! I have uncovered broken lights, stereo, damaged sentimental items I cherished and the latest were these curtains they swore they'd back neatly...ONE BIG KNOT thrown in a box!!!! And the treasure hunt for my things continue...

We had such a wonderful experience this company. I first spoke with John the owner to set everything up, and he was great. On moving day, Chris and 2 other guys came and we cannot be more pleased. They were extremely professional, took their time to disassemble and wrap our furniture and move to our new place. We would highly recommend this company if you want a smooth and easy transition. Theres so much to worry about when moving and the moving company should not be one. You wont be disappointed, they are the best!

Besides charging us over $1000 more than "maximum price" we were told we'd be charged, the movers did not listen when asking us what rooms items belonged. We were told that they would take care of packing hanging clothes in our closets using wardrobe boxes. What they failed to mention is that suits would be rolled into balls and thrown in the bottom of said boxes with a vacuum cleaner piled on top upside down. Just an overall bad experience. I would never use them again.

The owner is self-acclaimed tough guy from the Bronx. Tried is very hard to intimidate me and my husband. Swindlers indeed!!!! James came to my house and quoted me a $3483 for 2 trucks, 5 men, and 12 hours. On move day they sent one truck. Lied to me and my husband telling us that the other truck they planned to send had engine trouble, but the worker put the owner on speaker phone and I listened to him say that he sent the 2nd truck to another job and they'd try to get the truck over to my house once it was done. Of course that never happened. They ended up packing up 90% b/c that's all that could fit, which is why I was quoted for 2 trucks. They make the 1st trip to the new house, and told me and my husband that we need to pay them $2000 in cash otherwise they will not be unloading us. It’s like 5pm on a Saturday, where in the world are we going to get that kind of cash. Prior to the move we provided our CC for the deposit, reservation, and expected to use that for the balance. But they said they couldn't take CCs over the weekend. I offered to come to their location at that moment to pay with CC and they insisted on cash. The owner told us to call our bank and ask them to give us a temporary increase so we could take the cash out. We took enough cash out to cover what was quoted, b/c the owner also said that since they didn't send the 2nd truck they'd discount us and that we wouldn't pay one penny over what we were quoted...LIES!!!! They took our $2000 and never finished the drop. They left the remaining items at the old house and then of course stop answering the phone until my husband threaten legal action. Then the owner called us back and cursed us out. Told us he was from the Bronx, and we were DC Slicksters and we didn't have the money to pay for the job. He told us that if we think that he's doing this job for a discount (he offered a discount) that we were smoking crack like our president Barack Obama. He told my husband that I had a big mouth and he needed to put a sock in it. He was by far the nastiest person I'd ever dealt with. And James, the guy who provided the quote...NEVER answered our calls. But thankfully not all of his employees are crooks, because his worker Dylan, the one he spoke so highly of told the truth after he coerced him into telling a lie and taking the fall for the awful way the move turned out. He forced his employee to lie and say that he decided not to finish the move as if the company owner isn't the one that told him not to finish the move. Well the one honest thing that the owner said was that Dylan was a honest guy b/c I talked to Dylan after my long conversation with the owner, and after the 3-way call between Dylan and the owner and Dylan told the truth. Thanks Dylan!!! USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!

Update 6/29/2017: After leaving this review, they contacted me. They said they never got my emails due to a server issue and they sent me a money order for the cost of a new drill. I'm giving them another star for making good. I went with Classic Relocation mostly because of the good reviews even though they were on the pricier side, so I felt the need to post about my experience. I moved mid-March of 2017 The move itself went well, but but my power drill and bits went missing in the move. I had it out for the guys, in case they needed it when taking things apart and putting it back together. I texted they guy who moved me, the next day and got no response. I also emailed my sales person, John twice and got no response. Previously, he was very responsive. Now it's June, I have fully unpacked and still no drill. I also went back to my old place to check for it there. I'm guessing it got left in the truck by mistake and I missed it when doing my final check. Things can easily go missing during a move and I find the lack of response unacceptable. It honestly makes me wonder if it was taken on purpose. Otherwise, the move when well. They were careful, considerate and nothing got damaged. I was charged way more than the quote but my move DID took a few hours longer than original estimate. I can not reccommend them because of their lack of response after the move.
